Reported in Autosport Strakka are looking to expand, they're looking to run a second P1 and/or a FR3.5.
They say because it's difficult to compete with factories they'll race where the best privateer P1 competition can be found whether that be the WEC or ALMS. |

So that's the two top P1 privateer squads threatening to move to the ALMS within a couple of days of each other.
Losing them would be a huge hit for the WEC. Would be ironic to see them go to the ALMS to tread water until the class is written off a year later. But you can't blame them for wanting to be a bit more in the mix. |

That time of year, negotiate the best deal, much like reports two top ALMS P2 teams are considering the WEC.

Some encouraging noises coming from JRM:
Looking at a possible two-car expansion for '13, upgrades (albeit no hybrid) and also looking ahead to new regs racing in '14 and '15. All the best to them. http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/artic...-wec-notebook/ |

Leventis bought a 3.5 for private test sessions. If he has the resources, he might as well make a business out of it instead of using it for personal use only and losing loads of money. Who knows, maybe he wants to race in 3.5 himself.

Looks like Ford might have just pulled the plug on the WRC.
Albeit with an extremely vague tweet: https://twitter.com/FordWRC/status/257854942356860928 Seen as they clearly don't want to win the drivers championship next year, maybe they should evaluate another project, something that also takes into account the history of the brand and its racing heritage. Something that allows them to showcase new technology and not simply slapping 'Ecoboost' on everything. Any ideas? |

And by reading the Press release from M-Sport, i don't think we should expect to see Ford in another top end motorsport category. http://www.m-sport.co.uk/index.php/n...-press-release Quote:

Either way it's a huge kick in the plums for the WRC. For so many series, WEC included, it's increasingly one step forward, three steps back.

But rather they realize it, cut down and come back stronger. Than staying on a spending role waiting for the economy to turn and save them. Something which seems to take a while to do :/ |

It seems that unless it's NASCAR, Ford doesn't want to touch it unless someone wants to help foot the bill.

DENSO on a Nissan LMP1? I don't think Toyota would allow that

But B&O (Bang og Olufsen) don't have the money for such a sponsorship. And if it had, it would be on the car driven by Tom K. Also, i fail to spot the BHH But very good original work by that artist. |

I see a lot of Lola-AM in that.
And something in the front reminds of GrC or IMSA designs. |
