It does look very agile through the esses on my laptop. Katherine Legge tweets that they have made some big improvements so it will be interesting to see what it does at WG which should suit it. I hope it might find some reliability under the new management.

The car looks fast. The car has always been fast at that particular circuit, cabrio or coupe. I am very curious at what has been upgraded/improved, but I guess those who know are not at liberty to disclose.

Watkin's Glen looked as though things were improving performance-wise until the dreaded gearbox gremlins returned. The car never seems to run long enough to benefit from any advantages it has in efficiency so it must get very frustrating for the team not to be able to nail this gearbox issue once and for all. The Zeod failure at Le Mans seems to confirm that making transmissions work reliably on Delta lay-out vehicles is a constant problem. It would be interesting to know if it is just a result of trying to make things too lightweight or something more fundamental to the way the car works.

Does this mean that it's actually Formula Atlantic that is the future of motorsport?

There are some reports that the DW had a "major" fire today. No details seem to be available.
Sportscar365 @sportscar365 3h #TUSC Practice 2 comes to a close as the #DeltaWing goes up smoke with suspected engine fire/failure. #Mobil1SCGP It is out for at least this weekend... Last edited by Fogelhund; 12 Jul 2014 at 00:45. |

This lawsuit is just a shakedown, pure and simple. If Panoz would put the money into developing the concept rather than paying lawyers, we could enjoy seeing a fresh new idea on the track, eating up the competition. Instead, due to starving the project for resources, we see a succession of problems blocking the thing from ever amounting to anything. The whole battle should not be fought in the court. It should be fought on the track. If the ZEOD is really a copy, then it won't win. There will be stuff about the original that is superior which the copy doesn't know about and as a result, it won't perform as well. They both get the same fuel allocation for a given distance, and see which one makes it to the finish line first. The whole running newspaper ads in some sort of attempt to curry favor on a losing case is pathetic. |
