Always good to have a totally meaningless table of meaninglessness.....
Some people clearly have too much time on their hands.... So who are this team of 'experts'? |

Interesting team-mate related stat post-Brazil.
Kimi now has more podiums than Seb this year - he leads him 12-11. Podium related stats: Hamilton 16 - Bottas 8 Verstappen 8 - Ricciardo 2 Perez 1 - Ocon 0 |

Kimi's podium total for the season is also the equal best of his career -
2002 - 4 2003 - 10 2004 - 4 2005 - 12 2006 - 6 2007 - 12 2008 - 9 2009 - 5 2012 - 6 2013 - 8 2015 - 3 2016 - 4 2017 - 7 2018 - 12 |

So Danny has only got a podium when he’s won? That’s bad if that is the case

Now that we also have every driver in the points this year - thought I'd also do a teammate analysis of points finishes:
Hamilton 19 Bottas 18 Vettel 19 Raikkonen 17 Verstappen 16 Ricciardo 12 Perez 11 Ocon 10 Stroll 2 Sirotkin 1 Sainz 12 Hulkenberg 11 Gasly 5 Hartley 3 Magnussen 10 Grosjean 6 Alonso 9 Vandoorne 4 Leclerc 9 Ericsson 6 |

Interesting little graphic outlining the quali margins between the drivers.
Grosjean the biggest surprise here. |

Also shows Sauber's massive improvement.
Comparing the highly rated juniors, Leclerc improved Sauber's quali by a huge 1.78%, with Ericsson improving personally by 0.89%. Sauber by far the biggest improvers from 2017-18. Haas improved by about 1%, McLaren went backwards, and most others stayed the same. Surprised to see Renault not close the gap by even half a percent as I'm sure they would have hoped for which doesn't paint a pleasing picture for Danny Ricc next year. |

Sauber really were up there more, but how much of that was down to Leclerc? To be fair Ericsson was at times not far behind, so that suggests some improvement from the car

The Sauber was back of the field with Williams in Melbourne so they made huge performance gains.
Leclerc's growing confidence in the car and set ups complemented it further. Be interesting to hear what Kimi makes if the car after his first runs. |
