The silhouette of all P2 and P1 cars are 99% the same as well. Keep diggin that hole.

Here's a standard Riley in all white...when I get home tonight I'll fire up Forza 6 and take a similar in-game photo of the recently added Riley/Ford in all white.

If you can't tell the difference between these cars then you need help.

The same could be said for you not being able to see the differences for the standard Riley and Ford bodywork.

(fyi, I personally can tell all the P2 cars apart, however you specified in silhouette only, which would be a much harder task if you were to use just the silhouettes of the current P2 cars)

Here are the four closed cockpit P2 chassis that ran at Le Mans last year. In silhouette they are VERY similar. If I had photoshop accessible to me(currently at work) I would have blacked out the entire car leaving just the silhouette and seen if you could have guessed them.

It looks like a Ford because that's what Ford wanted it to look like and spent their money on. Show me where the Toyota, Audi, or Porsche LMP1 cars look like their street offerings?

It's not touted "Mazda-specific" bodywork. It's the same old Lola chassis P2 its always been. If you could buy a Lola P2 car that's what it would look like. It merely has a Mazda engine in it.

Lola P2.

Damn, I really wish I kept the horrible pictures I took from WGI where I let too much light into the camera to wash everything out and have no shadows so I can show y'all how a Viper and a Corvette look similar.

Why not take this a step further and just cut the cars in half .. which belong together? which is which car? The fronts are different enough, yet not memorable enough for me to recognize them without help (i.e., spotters guide or the like)

One last shot of the new DP. I hope this meets your critical standards for photography in a video game.

Are you guys done? Those Ford's and Riley's look near the exact same except minute details that Ford added to differentiate themselves. Yeah lmp looks a lot alike, but they have a difference in fender shape, aero, lights, cockpit, windscreen etc. Too bad they're required to run the fins. But this is a really petty argument.

IMO, it's like all the generations of the Porsche 911. They're as different as they are the same. Each iteration is clearly different, yet the evolutionary parentage is equally as clear. If you look at something long enough, you'll find differences and similarities to something else.

Arguing about this is about as stupid and ironic as having to use scissors to open a plastic blister pack with scissors in it. Not something to go for the jugular over.

Not exactly the most adventurous of redesigns. Though the Ford bodywork also got much more aggressive dive planes than the standard did, too.
All IMSA Rileys got large diveplanes, although the Ford ones are marginally more developed.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Ford radiator ducting generates less downforce though.

MaskedRacer User has been fined for unsportsmanlike behaviour!
Question which of the GTD runners at Daytona are full season runners? 22 is a pretty good grid for that event in that category. But will it be knocked down to 14, 15, 16 or some other number by Laguna Seca?

Or if that's not clear enough, what would a giant barn owl who doesn't like humans do to humans who tick him off? To be nice and somewhat family friendly, it probably involves owl pellets and bird crap.

This isn't worth getting personal about.

Don't want to bring up the topic again, but honestly, if I have ever had any axe to grind on the DPs, the Corvette DP has done a great job negating that. Ford should really learn from GM how to make manufacturer-specific bodywork cool.
