Putting whatever you might think of ESM aside... when was the last time a HPD was competitive when they've had real competition? No HPD's in Europe last year, not sure that there are any this year... just not the car of choice.

With the current tilted BOP, would any P2 chassis be the car of choice in the Tudor divided sports car series?

I think that over a 24 hour race reliable is competitive, at least in P2.

This is endurance racing, reliability is a key factor.

Exactly... even then as others have implied, it was often more about reliability than pace... in the shorter TUSC races, that isn't as important. After Starworks left, nobody was interested in the HPD, as it was never the fastest car, and the reliability of the Nissan was just as good.
Really the only car that we should expect to be competitive now is the OAK car, but then the BoP is pretty tricky, and next to impossible to get right. Perhaps in the end just two incompatible rules sets, that no matter what you do... Of course DHH said this well over a year ago. |

Dane Cameron making it clear that he will be back in the Turner BMW GTD for Laguna Seca http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/s...iday-notebook/ Also, AMR saying they won't return to TUSCC until "things are sorted out". Last edited by FstrthnU; 18 Apr 2014 at 19:20. |

The reason why Turner went into the PWC was for more sponser exposer since the GTD got its racing schedule cut down. The GTD team don't get to race for 7 weeks, not good for sponser.
I would love to see TUSC allow full GT3 cars in next year, then racing teams can go back and forth between the PWC and the TUSC. Maybe TUSC should also allow SCCA built cars in too like the Caddies, just for the heck of it. |

The ELMS Silverstone race was AWESOME! It would be great to have such a series here in the USA. |

When you read the news release, and add in the info I'd heard, it was 100% guaranteed they were gone. It's wasn't right..oh well. On another note, nobody died because of it. |

Not to mention that it seemed as though everyone up to Will Turner wasn't sure Paul was going to be at Sebring until almost literally the last possible moment. It's more than conceivable that they could've been leaving at one point, and now are not.
It sounds like Cameron/Palttala will be the lineup though, does that make GTD driver grading rules? |

I think Palttala is Silver in TUSC, gold in SRO.

total entries: 57 -- for two races.
Next up: F1 races reporting all cumulated entries of all different races running on 'their' race weekend on 'their' track. I'm at the stage where this is an awkward screwball style comedy and you're wondering whether you can keep watching through the next awkward part so you'll have something to laugh at again a bit later. Next up: P-only races at PLM, because heck why not, multi class racing is for those euros anyways? Last edited by joeb; 22 Apr 2014 at 13:33. |

The one obvious name missing from the Laguna Seca entry list is GMG Racing. What’s their status?

As I said a few weeks ago - they really can afford to pass on TUSCC as they have a 3-4 car presence in PWC and are fully competitive unlike in TUSCC where the Audis seem to be last in the lunch line. The only surprise would be that the would miss the California event.
