Impressive line-up without a doubt, no real slow drivers confirmed, I would hope that this championship goes right down to the wire, it certainly looks it from the quality involved

Not yet 100% sure: Plan: Eurosport Sunday race LIVE with Saturday race resumed just before the Sunday race
Possibly also: Itv, Rtl, Tele5 and others in Europe live or delayed
And to complete the information Fernando Tornello is working hard to ensure the coverage of GP2 races for Spanish-speaking Latin Americans via Fox Sports, as he did with F3000 last year. I don't know what will happen in Brazil, but I'm sure that they will see GP2 too (they had the opportunity to see F3000 even when the rest of Latin Americans can't, for example in 2002 and 2003).

Eurosports plans for the first race are for about 20 minutes of highlights of race one on Sunday morning, followed by race 2 live.

Sounds good - so long as Martin Haven doesn't say much...

Well I for one would be seriously disappointed with that. Race 1 is the most important, what with it being 180km and awarding 10 points for the win (race 2 is 80km with 6 points for the win, as you all know).

I was worried with the 2-race format that fans would be short changed with TV coverage, and it seems that will be the case. I'm sure it wasn't just me that felt the same about Renault V6 (when you had to wait until mid-week to see highlights of the Sunday race).

With Eurosport 2 now launched, surely they can make the effort to show as many of the Saturday races live as possible, or failing that tape delayed on the day? I know Eurosport has to show a variety of sports, and you have to accept clashes sometimes, but there's no reason why they can't fit both races in when they have two channels. Unless it's purely a contractual issue?

You're correct.
And I would also disagree that Artam was 99% at I-Sport.

I'd certainly agree the line-up is impressive, with real strength in depth. But a few are nothing special when you examine their CVs: Monfardini, Fauzy, Hernandez (if italiaracing.net is right in confirming him), Yoshimoto (if he signs). Hopefully the remaining free seats won't go to journeymen/women. Still, not much to complain about. There seem to be a lot of potential champions in the field... can't wait for the season to start!

Hernandez was confirmed by the team weeks ago.

Excellent news about TV coverage for those of us with Eurosport and Eurosport2 - both races will be shown live:

Quality stuff, should be really good then, assuming they don't take too many breaks during the races. Annoyed me a lot last year with the FRv6 Races

Premat has been officially confrmed by the team today. Incidentally, the name of the team is ART Grand Prix, which is interesting...

I read something about Ralph Firman and Super Nova?

Good news btw that Premat is coming to series, another strong driver for the GP2 grid, which is pretty strong already

I hope that comes off.

Ralph's a quality driver - who is much better than his time at Jordan showed.

Oh KB, only 5 years to win in Nippon, I agree...he's excellent. I'm surprised you let *some* people away with mediocrity. What's the connection?

I have no connection with Ralph.

You need to look at the cars he was driving in Nippon.

I remember being ultra impressed with him as long ago as 1995 and his first ever F3 race.
