I was always a fan of the livery on the Toyota, although it looked better staionary than while racing 😂 Agreed it looks better on the Hyundai, was it announced that there would be 2 Exceler8 cars and 2 Trade Price Cars, or did I just make that up?

I'm curious to know why a dealer in Nottingham was chosen to unveil the car. As far as I can tell, neither the team/driver/major sponsors have any links with the area or dealer. Its Bristol Street Hyundai Nottingham is anyone hasn't seen yet.

Bristol Street Motors are an England-wide chain aren't they?

It makes sense for teams running a contemporary car to link up with a dealer, I imagine they wil get some loan cars for the drivers for the season in exchange for a bit of brand, but mostly hospitality - which is why the lack of hospitality hurt so many deals last year. |

Nice livery.
Ginsters colors mix well with the blue and other sponsors. The Logistics People colors are off base but because they are on the window it's not disruptive. |

I think it looks good. Although very similar to the Toyota livery last year this seems to my eye to look better on the Hyundai. Hope to see Tingram up front, I think he can be...

So why do I think Ingram can finish ahead of Butcher?
Butcher: In a team that for the last 7 years has only really prepared a car for one driver - to that driver's preference. They have minimal experience in preparing an NGTC car with the current RML suspension for any other driver than Ingram and have only been working on one car at a time (hybrid car excluded). Smelt is also bringing minimal experience to the team, and so their ability to extract performance from the car is hindered (IMO). Ingram: Moving to a team that has four cars alongside a driver who has extensive knowledge of the car. Continuity in the team means that Ingram can utilize Smiley's experience in further refinements of the car. Ingram has consistently challenged for the title in recent seasons, and can be expected to do so again. So - in summary, consistency and continuity are the two factors in Ingram's favour. This means that it would not be a surprise for him to be ahead of Butcher, and therefore not ironic in the slightest. |

Not a great day at Croft for Tingram it seems though. Looking at the Power Maxed Instagram from today appears he only did 6 laps.
Additionally Smiley not got a great reputation up and down the paddock as a particularly helpful teammate. We will see how this all works out though. It’s going to be fascinating stuff though isn’t it? I rate highly, very highly, both Tingram and Butcher. |

I think Tingram will be quick - certainly capable of a few wins. I don't think he will be able to put together a title challenge this year though - its a big change for him so there is likely to be a few issues/mistakes throughout the year.

Looks like Taylor-Smith's car will have the same basic livery as Hamilton's, according to his twitter

I have to agree. I don’t think the Hyundai is good enough at this stage for a title challenge, but a few wins should be achievable |

The model of car does not matter. How many more times does this have to be shown?
Look at the Infiniti, VW or Audi if you need examples. Put the right driver and engineer together and you can be successful. Dynamics don't win all the time because the Honda Civic is somehow the perfect car for NGTC. They win all the time because they have the best engineers and team management and enough money to run the cars properly. Same goes for WSR. Sutton is an exceptional driver an the only driver outside of the few really top teams to win the championship. And that was because of the outstanding job he has done in assembling a team around him. He essentially brought the team running his Q50 to Moffat, not the other way round. It really is all about the team running the car. Other than the aforementioned Sutton, every championship has been won by WSR or Dynamics, and for as long as one or both are still competing, or another really top team comes in from elsewhere (like RML for example) then I don't see that changing.
