Is it possible that he just owned the car previously, possibly simply as a road car?

I think there may be some confusion. The LAT picture in the link shows Roy in a Cobra chasing the Willment (Bryant) Cobra in period.

Chasing Ferraris seems he did that a lot of times. The result at Le Mans in '62 with an E Type was really good.

Yes but none of those Cobras are the Willment/Bryant Coupe, which was what I was looking for.

GCCheddaris should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think Roy Salvadori was the only driver to race that Goodwood Revival favourite, the Ford GT40, in period in the 1965 Whitsun Trophy where he finished second to John Coundley's McLaren Elva.

Cheddars has come up with the correct answer, but I suspect it was a guess.

How about? And explain why these pictures,

Moto cross to start with, Talbot and Lago gives Rosier, and a 2 CV gives France. But Rosier was an important Renault dealer and had a small series of convertibles made by Brissonneau.
Not sure but my answer is Rosier.

Salutations, Babiole

Louis designed a sports car based on the 2CV, and it went in to production.

I had a Renault Fregate based car in mind. Wiki talks about a Renault 4 CV, aka 750, in those words: En 1953, Ã* partir d'une barquette du Mans, il conçoit, avec le carrossier italien Rocco Motto, un cabriolet sur base 4 CV, construit Ã* un peu plus de 200 exemplaires Mind you he was the biggest Renault dealer in France, not Citroën who made the 2 CV.
Few years later he developed a roadster based on the Renault Frégate again together with Rocco Motto. Cant say who's right tho.

And I do realize its a tough and long job for you, I already made the "compliment"…
