13 shells were ordered, to be produced.

MHDT had orders (options) for four, MHDT already had one (?).
Benson-Brown x one.
Peter Janson x one.
Neil Cunningham x one.
Roadways x two.
Warren Cullen x two.
ReCar x one plus an option on another.

= 13! Where did 16 come from?

Phil Lyon got two of the MHDT option cars, apparently PB organised the deal.

As the MHDT would have been left with two, that would mean chassis' four (82 Bathurst) and five (83 Bathurst) were used.
Janson built a new VH for 84.
Benson-Brown, used in rebuild end 82.
Phil Lyon built one, itp car (Gary Collins) and the second is on ebay now as a road car.
ReCar built two new cars, the second being the 100mph car.
Roadways built at least one (Elvis?)
Neil Cunningham sold his car to Bernie Stack, not known if he ever took delivery of his VH.
Cullen?
Any more clues?
G,day guys. I was wondering if a list been populated on the VK Racing shells? I am interested in VK #19.

B!tchie Renault should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Can anyone shed some light on the location of the ex FPR chassis?

From the information I have:

FPR1 - With Tony Evangelou - For Sale
FPR2 - become Britek BMS002, leased/sold? to Sieders
FPR3 - become Britek BMS001, for sale?
FPR4 (501) - become FRS Car 777 Patrizi in 2008 - For Sale
FPR5 (502) - become Irwin Racing Car 26 for Marshal 2008 - ???????
FPR6 (503) - Current MWR Car 26 for Jonathan Webb
FPR7 (604) - destroyed Eastern Creek 2008
FPR8 (705) - Current MWR Car 28 for Brad Lowe (Car 21 at Bathurst 2009)
FPR9? 1st FG - Is this FG01 that was debuted at Sandown?
FPR10? FG - Current Car 5?
FPR11? FG - Current Car 6?

I thought when Marshal raced for Britek that the car was purchased by Marshal (FPR5), but when he went to Intaracing the chassis used there was T8 012 (2007 Bathurst winner that is now with Dean Fiore). FPR5 seems to have disappeared?

Please help if you can.

I thought I posted this or it was deleted...

Why not start a V8 Supercar Chassis Reference Library of sorts on Wikipedia and see if it attracts any attention from the general public.

It's a free resource to use [used by a poster here quite often].

I would be very interested in this.

And you could link it back to here as well.

now that we've re-started the search for FPR hardware (for ford fans), with the impending closure of Tasman Motorsport we had better start tableing all their old cars (for the holden fans).

From my rough count Lansvale bulit:

VN / VP (circa 1991)
VP (1995?)
then Lansvale used ex WGR commodores until 2001

Their own chassis
VX (2001) - Phillip Island debut
VX (2001) - Bathurst debut

One of these cars went to Scott Loadsman and was upgraded to VY specs
The other (don't quote me on this) was used by Todd & Rick Kelly as the K2 ride car...supposedly

Then Tasman bought out Lansvale, and then
VY (2004) - used by GMR - for sale
VZ (2005) - used by GMR - for sale
VZ (2006) - used by GMR - for sale
VE x2 (2007) onbe was auctioned to someone in NZ?, the other was used by GMR in enduros
VE x2 (2008) one debut at Hamilton, the other at Sandown.

the last two VE's built are going to GMR for 2010 Fujitsu Series.

that's what i have so far...all contributions welcome.

Agree with Tasman Motorsport winding down it would be timely to document the history of all the Lansvale & Tasman cars.

A VK Commodore converted from a road car was debuted in the 1986 enduros by Trevor Ashby & Steve Reed the duo qualifying an impressive 16th on debut at Bathurst only 1 second slower than eventual runner up John Harvey in the 2nd HDT car. The duo competed in the Sydney Amscar and ATCC rounds in 1987.

A HDT spec VL debuted at the Oran Park 250. It was painted white with dark blue signage, but by Bathurst had been repainted to the traditional yellow. It was upgraded to TWR specs for Bathurst 1988, but reverted back to HDT specs for 1989, the team deciding they did not have the resources to properly develop the car.

It was used in some races in 1990 before being sold to Laurie Donaher who raced it at Bathurst in 1990 and 1991. It was sold to Glenn Mason who returned to fuel injected specs in 1993 before being sold to Greg Fahey in 1994.

In 1990 the team purchased a Perkins Engineering built VL (PE004). Perkins had debuted it at the Calder 500 in 1987 before running it in the 1988 ATCC. After being upgraded to TWR specs it was raced by Jeff Allam & Armin Hahne at the Sandown 500 and Denny Hulme at the Adelaide GP it was sold to Lyndon Reithmuller in 1989. The Lansvale team purchased it in 1990 but only raced it a handful of times.

A VN was debuted at the first round of the 1991 ATCC and after conversion to VP specs at the end of 1992 raced until the end of the 1993 ATCC. After being leased to Stephen McLaine for Bathurst 1994 it was sold in 1995 to Wayne Russell who last raced it at the Oran Park ATCC round in 1997.

A VP was debuted at Bathurst in 1993 and last appeared at Bathurst 1996. It was sold to Don Pulver who raced it in the 1997 Amscar series before destroying the car at the Sandown round of the 1998 ATCC.

At the end of 1996 a VS was purchased from Wayne Gardner Racing. It had been built at the beginning of 1994 and been raced by Gardner until the end of the 1996 ATCC, having been raced by Brad Jones & Win Percy in the 1995 enduros and Jones at Indy in 1996. It was last used at Bathurst in 1998.

A VS was built for the 1999 season even though the VT had been homologated. It was last raced at the Waneroo round in 2001.

In 2000 the team purchased a Wayne Gardner Racing built VS. It had been debuted by Gardner & Neil Crompton at the Sandown 500 in 1996, becoming Gardner’s car in 1997. It was sold to Rod Nash who raced it in from the Lakeside 1998 ATCC round until the 1999 Queensland 500. It was raced in the 2000 ATCC by Reed and Geoff Full & Phil Scifleet in the 2000 enduros.

One of the above 2 was sold to Rob Tebb and raced by Grant Eliot in the development series in 2002 & 2003.

A VT was debuted the beginning of 2001 by Cameron McConville, with Ashby & Reed racing it at Bathurst and Ashby at the Adelaide round in 2002. It was leased to David Krause for the final 2003 round at Eastern Creek before Jason Richards raced in 2004 up until round 7 with Fabian Coulthard racing it at round 8. It was sold to the Kelly brothers for use as a ride car before being sold to the United Racing Team being raced by Adrian Scharenguivel in the WA Sports Sedan series in 2008 & 2009.

A second VT was debuted at Bathurst by McConville & Neal Bates and raced until the end of 2003 by McConville. It was sold to Scott Loadsman who raced it in the 2005 & 2006 development series and 1st 2 rounds in 2007 before purchasing a Paul Morris VZ. Loadsman then raced it in the Touring Car Challenge in 2007.

The first Tasman built car a VY (TM01) was debuted by Richards at round 8 in 2004. It was raced by Jamie Whincup in 2005 with Coulthard & Tony D’Alberto racing in the enduros. Andrew Jones drove it in 2006 with Owen Kelly & Mark Noske driving in the enduros. It was raced in the 2008 development series by James Bergmuller.

A VZ (TM02) was debuted at the beginning of 2005 by Richards. It was raced by Jones in the last 3 rounds in 2006. It was raced in the 2007 & 2008 development series by Dale Wood.

A VZ (TM03) was debuted at the Symmons Plains round in 2006. It was raced by Sam Walter in the development series from 2007 until round 5 in 2009 with Andrew Anderson driving at round 6.

Two VEs were built for the 2007 season. TM04 was raced by Greg Murphy and TM05 by Richards before they swapped at round 5. TM05 was raced in the enduros by Murphy & Richards with Noske & Jay Verdnik racing TM04. Richards raced TM04 up until round 4 of the 2008 series, Murphy last raced TM05 at the Melbourne Grand Prix. One was raced I the 2009 enduros by Sam Walter & Taz Douglas.

TM06 was debuted by Murphy at round 3 in 2008 and raced by him until the end of 2009 apart from when Noske & Wood drove it in the 2008 enduros.

TM07 was debuted by Richards at round 5 in 2008. It was raced by Jason Bargwanna in 2009.

Wasn't the VK originally the car that Ken Mathews used in the '85 enduros and at the '86 Amaroo ATCC round? This car met its end at the '87 Hardie Irrigation 100 at Amaroo, destroyed after crashing into Terry Shiel's works Nissan Gazelle in the Dunlop Loop.

Could have been, the 87 Great Race said it was a converted road car, but I do vaguely recall that they purchased it from an existing competitor. Also just realised the 2001 built cars were VXs not VTs.

Close, the Ashby/Reed car hit the wall on the exit of Dunlop Loop, ended up sideways blocking the track, Terry Shiel came round the corner with nowhere to go, got sideways and slapped into the Commodore, causing alot of damage to both.

cts auctions

2 x Perkins cars including the winning Perkins/Hansford car 1993 Bathurst
plus
a UK Gr A Sierra.

An auction confims the selling price as against the asking price.

http://ctsauctions.com.au/

Was the 1993 car the last win for Holden power?

The 1993 winner was the last winner with a Holden (as opposed to a Chevorlet) engine. The 2 cars advertised are the 1995 & 1997 winners.
