I wonder about Le Mans 2022. Everyone sort of expects 2 cars. But one will be modified to run in GTD. Do P&M have 3 chassis to do this without the logistical challenge of prepping the IMSA car for Le Mans and back?

I believe they have 4 chassis at this point, and mentioned the ability to have 2 of each spec in an earlier article that i can no longer find!

I believe they said they can run 2 of each spec and have the original testing car at the ready if needed. They usually have at least 3 ready to go all the time

Oh, cool. Sadly, racingsportscars.com doesn't have chassis history for C8.R, unlike with earlier models.

And Rebel Rock looking to run a GTD Vette, running a GT4 Camaro has to be good for them getting one since GM sounds like they're trying for 4 cars on the grid

The silver livery is just not cutting it. I wish the reveal had it in full velocity yellow. They have abandoned the silver livery on the current C8$ notice. I will really be happy once we see a Corvette in NLS/N'Ring and SRO races.
I guess we can't set expectations too high for Daytona 2024 for the Corvette nor Mustang. New GT cars very very rarely do well in its first outing at the Daytona 24. |

Just saw the price of the GT3 Vette. $735,000. WTF????? I thought the 488 was mental at $615,000. For comparison the Huracan is $450,000

It’s a shame that the new GT3 ‘Vette has lost that trademark burbly engine note that we all know from the GTE / GT2 days.

So with engine, electronics, etcetera it's in same range as Ferrari/Corvette GT3. IIRC LMP3 is less than 300k Euro. |

Super cool.
I think I might color code, or have strong logos for them too. Even if the connectors were different it would help with speed of locating. I guess they can’t change the side depending on which side the pits are on. Not that they will use all the time. And they have to cope with the drivers. |

Whoa - they pressurise the engine coolant!?
I get topping up the coolant, but repressurising the cooling system seems pretty futile - you have a coolant leak, pumping up the pressure just pushes more coolant out the leak - better to de-pressurise, take the performance hit, and reduce the rate of coolant loss until you can fix the leak. Or is the pressurisation system isolated from the actual coolant? I'm surprised there isn't one for brake fluid too. |

Probably not a great place to package the brake ones. The reservoirs are at the front.

I wonder if it's to relieve pressure rather than introduce it

That's what I was thinking, if they're adding they'll have to vent and balance I would guess. But also assume the guys at PM know what they need
