When you have a look at the pictures of the cars being build now on the A1GP website, we are far from a Formula one , just a basic F3000

The old car WAS a basic 3000 car. The new car is far more advanced than the old car. It might not have somthing flashy like carbon wishbones, but believe me, the car is a massive improvement on the old one.

Have seen close up images of the suspension parts. They don't look like carbon to me

It's funny how you guys bash the car for being too much like an F1 car and now are bashing it because it's not enough an F1 car. Hehe.

The A1GP Organisation "sold" the new car like the "Ferrari F1 2004", the reality is other . In my case, i am just relating facts
I am not even sure that Ferrari produce the Tub. The incident that happened in testing at Magny-Cours could be explained by the fact that this new is car has been completly redesigned from the originial F1 Car |

Ferrari don't produce the tub, or car, but A1 have never said that they would. They said that the design would be based on the F2004, and that Rory Byrne would 'consult' on the design. If that car doesnt look like the F2004, then what does?
And its definately not a Formula Superfund, although it does have some striking similarities, and I belive, the tub is produced by the same company. |

It was never the intention of A1GP to make it look as a F1, they want to maintain their own corporate identity, which is why the engine cover will have a sharkfin extension as the old Lola car had. |

If you want to do a F1 car you need a big budget to rebuild the cars after each race.
Give a F1 to rookie drivers from Pakistan , Lebanon . . . |

Yeah not only that, the teams only have 3 days to prepare the cars for each event, so you can't have a car that requires a huge amount of work.

This rumour has made it to SpeedTV; Robin Miller reckons Andretti (but without Green?) will buy out the A1 USA franchise and park Marco and DP in the get some road course experience. |

http://www.a1gp.com/News/NewsArticle.aspx?newsId=41879 Interesting idea, not sure how much it will actually help the lower-down teams though. |
