Oh how I loved the scream of the Lola Aston... but just imagine how raw a V8 powered LMP from the GTE would sound, as great as the AMR1?

A close partnership with Multimatic (ex-Lola) to build a new LMP1 chassis would appear to be the most logical choice. One may wonder if Rebellion will switch to a new engine supplier...

Got to respect Rebellion for going out there and getting it done. It would have been so easy for them to get dissuaded but they've stuck at it.
I hope the new project can bring in something new to LMP1 - hopefully an engine. |

Am I the only one thinking about Porsche? It was said that they was going to make their debut after Le Mans and maybe it's too son for the new Rebellion car.....

In a reply to his tweet Dagys confirmed the announcement wasn't anything to do with the big three. All signs point to Rebellion I think.

I think we can discount Lotus, they are currently having a hard time of it and would be unable to raise the sort of money involved

Forgive me if I'm wrong but it sounds like they already have raised the money involved having inked the Praga deal? Remember it's not Lotus the car company as such that runs the team.

We are not talking about a car badged as "Lotus" but the design and building of a complete LMP1 car, before you can put a lotus/praga sign on a car you must first have that car, previous lotus LMP2 and the rebellion car already existed.

Well when this brand new lotus design appears and runs I will admit that my doubts were wrong but at the moment I am not convinced it will ever get anywhere
