The VLN Thread became the Nurb 24 thread.
I'm sure we're all salivating at late 90's GT1 cars, but after GT2's positioning, the new GT1 is going to slot in below GT4, above GT3, and reverse upside down, perpendicular, parallel, diagonally, and sideways from GT2. |

Apparently track limits at the top of Raidilon will not be enforced.
As far as bad ideas go, this is a good one. |

Yeah, they literally just straight line Raidillon now during Pre qualifying. #97 TF Sport Aston has a new chassis after practice accident at Raidillon.

These short qualifying sessions seems to create desperation and therefore incidents, surely a better way of doing it

72 car GT3 field.....imagine if this lineup was at the Nurburgring 24 Hours instead - what a cracking race that would have been

I know there are more important things to worry about in life but im a little worried. Depending on which site you read the forecast shows an 80-50% chance of rain from mid day on Saturday all the way until 3pm on the Sunday. Obviously Spa has its own climate but 72 GT3 cars in rain could spell some serious SC periods.

Rain of biblical proportions being mentioned at the circuit for sat PM - cannot see too much green flag running early on if that happens. hope I am wrong! Just a heads up for those that are not aware - Anyone going to the circuit - if you download the Blancpain App to your phone, you can watch uninterrupted streaming of the race in english with full commentary. Despite the weather forecast - really looking forward to this one - if it is wet, watch out for porsche! |

I guess they've identified a hitherto untapped tier of people who really, REALLY have too much spare money.

According to this report from dailysportscar.com, Mike Hedlund has been replaced in the #27 Daiko Lazarus Lamborghini for the Spa 24 Hrs race. What happened Mike?

Weather forecast all over the place for tomorrow.
Back at our apartment today, 10 miles from Spa we could hear the mother and father of thunderstorms with lightning everywhere on the journey to the circuit late afternoon ........BUT not a drop of rain. Thought about buying an umbrella or two in the circuit - 50 euros! You're having a laugh ......... stop off in town on the way in tomorrow I think! Those going, have a safe trip - think that we might get a tad wet! Might just see a different race though as the turbo cars will be better in the cooler conditions - unfortunately, only the Porsche has the engine in the right place when it rains. Have a good one guys and girls! |

My rooting interests for Spa 24 in this order just about:
1. Grasser Lambo - going for a unique triple crown having won Daytona and Sebring. Strangely though in SRO GT Blancpain, the FFF team has had the better of it over them. 2. Land Audi - Since they are an IMSA GTD team too. 3. Bentley #109 - Effectively the KPAX crew (mostly) 4. Acura #30 - Mario Farncacher who has dominated GTD this year along with other IMSA full timer Renger. 5. Any Mercedes or Porsche |

Really rooting for Bentley this year as I have just started working with them ....
Gonna need a miracle to make something out of their qualifying though and will need the K Pax crew to show M Sport how it's done as Malcolm wilson's crew certainly know how to screw this race up! All four works cars seemed to be in bits all over the garage floor last night during the pit walk and the crews really seemed on edge. The weather may need to intervene! |

It's extremely wet at the circuit.
Already announced there will be an exploratory lap at the start. I'm assuming (but hope I'm wrong) that that will turn into a long SC period. |

The SC isn't hanging about. It isn't giving the impression that this is going to be a long SC.
