I think that FIA F4 and BRDC F4 will be very good next season, but FR UK won't happen. The teams certainly look like they'll make this series top class again for 2015.

Yes, the main thing is that both can co-exist. I believe this move was necessary to save BRDC F4 and prevent teams from the series converting to FIA F4. I don't believe it will become an alternative to FIA F4, teams such as Carlin and Fortec should still enter the MSA version as they are looking for the FIA backing.

I am pretty sure they look for a sound marketplace, not any sort of backing. There is always Europe for them.

The prodigy of Rubens Barrichello, Gaetano di Mauro, puts the heartache of Silverstone behind him to claim his maiden victory and the first for his Petroball team at Brands, from pole. I think he's better than you'd think, as which team you drive for dictates the results in this series a fair bit. You're never going to be a title contender if you're not in a Lanan or HHC car, which makes the results of Chris Middlehurst, Alex Palou and Gaetano di Mauro even more spectacular, especially Palou, as he took a backmarker team and got them in the hunt for wins on his debut weekend.

However, Russell and Hyman are now separated by a point, and, despite my previous paragraph, there's no doubting the quality that these 2 drivers, Fielding and Maini have.

Looked like an interesting day today as Russell somehow emerged from the weekend with the championship lead intact. Hyman seemed to have a shocker in the final race and only finished 12th but Maini has surged into second.

I reckon he's the dark horse for the title now, he's the form man it seems!

Good to see Middlehurst finally claim a win as well.

No idea why Russell is no longer right at the front, but di Mauro and Middlehurst winning?! That's 2 of the 3 races not won by an HHC or Lanan car! And Maini has always been there or thereabouts in terms of pace, but up until recently Hyman and Russell have had the edge when it comes down to the races. The title battle should be a good one, and I can't put my finger on a winner.

You can't accuse MSV of not hanging about!

BRDC F4 have announced that they will use the Tatuus F4 chassis for their FIAF4 spec championship. 26-30 cars ordered which will be eligible for the 2015 F4 winter series and the 2016 championship.

Cars will be £ 35k or £ 20k if you have an old spec car to trade in.

Wow, not only will that likely mean that the 2015 Winter Series is top class, with drivers and teams wanting to get early mileage in that car, but Palmer has decided to wage war against Mr Berger! Very good pricing too, I can see both co-existing and being successful platforms for some F1 drivers in the future. Great news for British motorsport!

Sounds like a very dramatic day at Donington where it seems Raoul Hyman collided with George Russell again, handing the title initiative to Arjun Maini. All to play for at Snetterton it seems!

Looks very exciting. Guessing Moore and Palmer are out of the running, they also had bad weekends, but Maini has come back from his mid-season "blip" and Fielding also looks very strong. Should be a good title fight.

Shame to see that Chris Middlehurst has pulled the plug and will sell his car. Shame, he's a very good driver.

Really surprised to be honest after the break through win at Brands. Sure the championship was beyond reach but without that pressure he could have concentrated on getting the best results possible in the last few rounds and who knows it may have still attracted the attention of the MABA selectors. Either way it would have given him valuable extra mileage prior to a 2nd year campaign in 2015 where he surely would have been a contender.

Still he clearly had his reasons.

Just seen on my twitter feed that BRDC F4 has received a strong demand for its new car, with 23 orders placed already. http://www.formula4.com/news/big-dem...dc-f4-car.aspx

The Ford backed UK FIA 'Formula 4' Mygale is going to be launched tomorrow at Silverstone. It'll be interesting to see what the take up is.

Two interesting signings for the winter series and the Snett finale respectively.

But we all know that the 2015 Winter Series will be the one to watch!

Well it sounded like a very exciting championship conclusion at Snetterton, but it's George Russell who claimed the championship, overturning a 21 point deficit at the start of the weekend!

Maini didn't look on it all weekend. Claimed 8th in R1, which is reverse grid pole, but fluffed that up too! Russell on the other hand...

...another good season for this series. How much of an impact will MSA Formula have on the quality if all bar 1 team are remaining for next season? Including Lanan and HHC...

Formula 4's had a great season... and I think MSA Formula will be good next year too. It would be nice to think that both could survive, and thrive, I guess time will tell.

Harrison Newey to race in BRDC F4 next year, that's a bit of a coup!

Looks like he did well in the Winter Series opener as well.

He looked good in French F4. And he's with HHC and that means he'll be a race winner next season almost inevitably.

Dan Ticktum has been lighting up the timesheets in testing for Lanan at Brands Hatch, might be a good name for the future.

My first reaction was "well that's Lanan for you" but he's pretty damn quick! Although everyone was within 1.3s...

15-year-old won't be able to enter BRDC F4 next year, will they? If so, Ticktum will have to wait until June to race in the series. Or just go to MSA F4...
