Good races, especially the first race. With the win in Bathurst I was expecting McLaren to have killed all the reliability bugs, but they seem to be there still.

Shall they try to run all the QF races in the night to introduce more variety?

I don't think that's possible on all tracks - Misano has long been known as one of the few tracks where you actually can have night races. If it was up to me, I'd have both races on Saturday with the night race being the main event.

with now about 40 cars in grid, I think that BSS should quit the QR-CR format and adopt the standard two race format, with a qualifying session per race like adac gt or gt-open.
The reason is simple: if something wrong happens during the QR, at 90% that car is basically screwed for the CR as well!

Agreed I think each race should be treated equally. Since SRO is allied with PWC. Take their concept by taking the fastest laps from race 1 and use that as the starting grid in race 2. That way if a car has a off and a bad race 1, they will be motivated to keep running hard to get the fastest lap they can for a good starting position in race 2.

actually I would like to see the sprint-single driver format applied to BSS.
BES are endurance races, is fair to have 3 drivers per car; but BSS is just 1 hour sprint format! to me could be more interesting to have just one driver per car as PWC or DTM

And if they really want two drivers per car, let's have one driver run one race and the other run the second race in the same car. (*ducks* and maybe an aggregate result...)

With a 39 car grid for the sprint races this year .....................

I would say don't change a thing! Don't try and fix something that 'ain't broke!'

IMSA Performance has unveiled their livery for BES.

Looks tremendous to me.

Wow. Kodak still exists?

That does look sharp, though one would expect no less from this team or the sponsor.

Good looking indeed, and whatever form Kodak still exists, who would have thought they had money laying around to sponsor a race car!

is insane that one car wasn't able to start at all, and the other one had engine issues after only 40 minutes of race.

Anyway guess this year too, will be easier to get inside area 51 and steal confidential documents than obtain a super secret SRO bop sheet.
You are incredibly thick. If you had payed any attention you would have noticed that the 58 car continued on without any problem finishing 9th in that race. Rob Bell even setting the fastest lap of the race by almost a second on the last lap. hardly an engine failure. As for the other car the issue was apperently caused by the driver breaking a wire when getting in to the car. This was fixed and the car finished the race.

This perception that the McLaren is unreliable is misinformed, unintelligent and wholly untrue!

Well moving swiftly on from that, WRT and AF Corse were testing at Brands Hatch today. Lots of wet running but very much hoping the actual race weekend is dry.

For all series out there making it difficult to watch, I must give extra credit to SRO for full production practice session streaming.

SRO has really stepped it up this year. And they were already pretty darn good. IMSA needs to learn from this. Of course John Watson is awesome as usual on commentary.

I wonder if the Lambo the Konrad team is running at Monza is the same one that they ran at Daytona.

#84 and #23 will share the front row later today, Buhk did the pole time. In Q3, the top 9 were covered by less than 2 tenths, 31 cars within a second of pole.

But, for me, the real story has to be am-class amiable journalist Chris Harris being twelfth (12th!) overall in the Parker Bentley during Q2. He was faster than Reip and sprint series champ Vincent Abril in the factory-backed Bentleys, among many other supposed pro drivers. Wow, I don't think he'll be a bronze driver for all that long.
