Are we now all officially asleep or did the conversation just tail off as the race gets even more edge-of-the-seat ?

Were others surprised by the poor performance of the BMWs? I expected them to be mid-field challengers, but they didn't really bother anyone.

Slightly longer pit-stop by 37, to swap to back-up alternator - they think it's the problem that's had the car running rough... looks like Liz's shoulder will stop her driving any more...
First race for the BeeEms... tough return for Tom Milner and PTG but I doubt they'll look so sorry at season's end... Tom just HATES for his cars not to work well |

That little 'unreliable' AER/Lola combination seeing off the might of a two car Penske Porsche team!
Who'd bet against Dyson's Lola/AER doing a similar job on Audi during the course of the season. Nothings ever predictable in sportscar racing. |

I`m a big underdog guy. Great work by Intersport, Liz, and the Fields. So I`m happy.
1st in class and 2nd overall..cool. The battle between Enge and Papis topped it off. Pirelli needs to do some homework with the tyres. Good race...on to Houston!! |

One more break, and Intersport wins it all. I was very dissapointed with the Konrad Saleens, BTW. But if Aston runs the whole season, GT1 will be good. Oh..good work by the Bourdais...Martin Short is on the phone. |

Audi R10 - a look into the future
Morning all,
Just watched the last couple of hours that I recorded from Motors TV overnight. What a great race, knew that the R10 had the staying power. I just wish we could see it racing in the UK this year. Really enjoyed the battle between the Corvette and the Aston's Well done also to the other winners (Intersport and Multimatic Panoz), would have been nice to see the Ferrari F430 win, but looks like there is more to come from them. Seriously comtemplating making the trip to Sebring next year. Will start counting the pennies. Regards Tim |

so im gathering audi won the race?, i love the R10's looks and as a piece of technology it is something that has to be admired by all but i hate it in the way of noise, the thing doesnt make a noise at all it just kind of whooshe's which is horrible because i love the noise of the old audi R8 going past at full chat

Really enjoyed the Motors TV coverage - well done.
Great achievement by Audi, but as great as he is, just where does TK get his luck from? The GT1 / GT2 battles were the highlights for me and the final laps between the Aston and the Corvette were stunning to watch and just what was needed at 4am in the UK! Well also done to Panoz, great to see them back with a bang and an excellent debut Panoz race for LNT - I can see them shaking the tree in British GT and the European LMES. I'll be taking a Driving Adventures trip to Laguna Seca and Sebring next year, so can't wait for that! What a great start to the racing year. |

My first time watching Sebring thanks to Motors TV.........
I've always enjoyed listening to Hindy and watching live t&s, but to actually watch the race was mega. Loved the aerial shots along with the onboard footage. The GT1 battle between Enge and Papis towards the end was particularly spectacular, as was already mentioned!! Interesting how much more coverage we did get in the UK. An hour of Martin on his own in the early evening and all those additional commercial breaks he covered must have really added up. Bonus!! Excellent coverage, thanks to Martin, MotorsTV and SpeedTV. |

The new Dyson Lola was just too new and the Porsche too unreliable. Audi really needs to improve before they can go to Le Mans. The reliability of the engine (cooling) needs to improve and I am not convinced the Michelin tyres were consistent when double stinted (I suspect tripple stints during the night will prove challenging for the Michelin engineers). |

true about the R10 not being the R8 in solidity and consistency or for that matter the R8.
but the R10 is not far off, and the challenge of not being reliable- well that is exactly part of what sports car racing is and Porsche missed on that one this race- and Audi biffed the cooling system Lola aer,Corvette, and Aston MArtin nice result and wow the Panoz took on The Very fast Risi Ferrari 430- and did so well. |
