Ok that was a great finish, even if it was between 2 Holdens. Congrats Garth & Nick.

Simply Fantastic, both drivers at the max limit without being complete idiots and wrecking each other. Great race, great circuit, great series, great drivers, great teams, good coverage. Would love to see more live V8 Supercars in North America, and despite living out in the Atlantic certainly planning a trip to Austin in 2013.

Woohoo! Stocked Nick Percat won (Lovely person), pitty he had to be paired with Tander (I can't stand him!). But after everything Lowndes/Skaife went through, they deserved to win. Murphy on the podium very lucky...again!
What a blunder by Whincup! Championship changing stuff! Lowndes now in the lead. |

I was hoping Craig would get it, but I've got nothing to complain about with that finish. Both drove excellently, and pretty darn cleanly. Two supreme professionals in their craft at their best.
I can't imagine having that good a duel in NASCAR. Somebody would punt somebody else, or they'd both end up in a smoking heap. And at Bathurst, those sorts of antics would end with REALLY ugly results. But again, that was incredible, and heaps of respect to go around for all four drivers in those front two cars. |

Sometimes you get where you are by good strategy, same with Bright. Car not charging the battery and it is a blunder by Whincup..............??????? It was a good win but let's not let our HRT coloured glasses hide any facts. |

Murphy fluked a Pole and certian to finish in the back end of the Top 10. Very poor choice of words by me about Whincup...but you know what I meant |

Fantastic, hard fought finish worthy of the mountain.
I was going for CL but really good job by GT to keep the freight train that is Craig on a charge at bay.. Heart rate heading back to normal now. |

What an absolutely fantastic race, had a bit of everything, and those last few laps were heart stopping action - but great to see a hard, clean race end up with 4 guys with smiles on their faces.
Also how lucky was Nick Percat to get away with that glance on the wall in turn 2? Think you only ever do that once. Lowndes now into the lead of the championship, and HRT have a big shot in the arm with Ryan Walkinshaw present - and boy didn't he look happy. I'm wondering now if this so called deal with Rusty to WP will happen, and if not, surely Percat has put his hand up for a drive. Maybe if the Rusty thing happens, Percat out to BJR on loan from WP next year and back for the Supercheap seat in 2013? |

ANOTHER dominant display by Holden and ANOTHER major disappointment from the main Ford teams.
The highlights for me were the CL overtake on "Murph" at the Chase, the great drives from the "kids" in Percat and Thompson and not having to read a post from peckstar in 3 days. Matthew White needs to stop trying to be a comedian because your not funny Matt and the constant perceived "wishing" for rain and the obligatory Skaife opening up his wallet joke gets a bit boring. |

Besnard is just about to drive out the track. I hope the radio is working so someone can tell him when to brake for up coming intersections

What a great finish to The Race!
Very happy for Percat and especially for Murph and Simonsen to end up on the podium , great to see those two guys up there. |

2 thoughts
1. Where does a driver get off blaming the team (and lack of radio no less) for a driving error??? Cant be good for his career, to blame the dude in the pits, gunna make it hard to work with him in the future surely? 2. He owes two very professional fire marshals a shed load of Jim Beam!!! |

Definitely one of the more nail biting finishes we've had for a while.
Lowndes's relentless chase on Tander from way back in the pack was brilliant, as was Tander's defense of his position. One has to wonder if Lowndes and Skaife didn't have to keep queuing behind Whincup if the result would have been different? I really felt for Will Davison, he'd put in a great drive and deserved a better result, but then again that always applies to a lot of drivers at Bathurst every year. DJR admitted that Besnard didn't get the "pump the pedal" call, however I would have thought with the rich history of drivers not doing it and ending in tears, it would be something you'd do as a matter of course. I've never been in the position though so maybe with everything going on around you it's easy to forget? Having a quick think, gee there are some Bathurst wins amongst today's podium, Skaife 6, Lowndes 5, Murphy 4, Tander 3 and Percat 1. |

Top marks to the two fire marshalls that got Mr Besnards car asap.
Nice work by Tander and Percat. Shame car 888 spent a lot of time waiting in the pit for car 88, but still a great drive from Lowndes and Skaife. Good result from Murphy and Simmonsen for third. A disaster for Jim Beam/DJR and a poor showing from Jack Daniels racing. |

Whilst GRM didn't have a good day, i think that Garry would feel justified in his decision to let Besnard go after his second crucial mistake in successive Bathursts. |
