There has been a date change (surprise, surprise). In actual fact it is a venue change. May 31st will now be Silverstone instead of Brands Hatch, and will be just one day. The Brands meeting was double booked with a motorcycle club who had first option.

So is that 2 Silverstone meetings now or is it the Silverstone one moving earlier?

Copperbottom has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Any idea of the entry fees?? If they're really £210 per event(as per Rods Site) that's quite an increase over the last few years..

they are likely to be between £150 and £210 depending on venue,

unfortunatly all the circuits have put ther hire charges up considerably, along with time keepers, medics, insurances etc etc etc

That's still extremely good value for double headers.

Just one visit to Silverstone on May 31st. At present there are 9 rounds, but negotiations are on going about a tenth. Other clubs have major changes from Donington. At least two have had dates cancelled there.
If drivers think the increases are too steep, then may be 9 meetings are enough?

I don't think they're too steep,I just wanted clarification of the actual costs so I can sort out my budget.

The reference to Donington was not about DMN going there, but the knock on effect about other clubs having their meetings cancelled. This in turn makes them slot their championships into other meetings they are running elsewhere. This in turn means that "guest" series or championships get "bumped off" the programme.
The BARC south east committee are very aware that nearly all our drivers have to work hard to earn money to go racing. We are therefore always looking to get the best deals on entry fees and have a balanced calendar. It now looks like one meeting per month for this season.

do us a favour chaps and put enough postage on your registrations and entry forms, every time you dont the royal mail " fine" me or cheryl, which usually means messing around going to the sorting office to pay the fine, todays item was only 6 pence underpaid, but £1.06 with the fine, but its all the messing around to pick the item up thats the real pain
