I thought MST would have the result - not there yet, so courtesy of DST - Dead Sheep Timing:
1. Marcos Simpson/Wyatt 2. Marcos Harrison/Bullock 3. M3 E46 Allen/Goody 4. M3 E30 Grant/DelaRonde 5. Integra R McInerney/McInerny 6. Beetle Frick/Flatt 7. Civic R Armstrong/Barnes We lost our clutch, both pedal and bad slip so lost our third place. The carbon fibre clutch plus gearbox had to be taken out last night and driven over to Lydney to be repaired/machined by the brilliant Simpson Engineering boys. In true BMW style, whilst this was going on, Messrs Grant/DelaRonde were enjoying a sumptious Curried repast (takeaway) courtesy of Team sponsors, Juboraj !! By the way weather this morning is 10 centigrade, we have had lots of rain, but it is not raining. Have to dash, the Curry is calling......!! Del Last edited by DelaRonde; 9 May 2004 at 07:09. |

Thanks Del for posting the results.
Did your gearbox/clutch go in race 2? Will they want you back in the Marcos Martin? lol |

Those brilliant Simpson boys re-machined the clutch housing overnight, this time something in the engine wasn't right so we thought it best to stop. Pity we had new tyres on for the first time this year and we were 2 seconds a lap quicker than yesterday, so I think I could have got into the 60 seconds - IF i had got into the car !! Andy started.
I have a brilliant 3 shot photo sequence of Martin's Marcos outbreaking itself yesterday at Hatchets as I squeaked through into the lead......but I'll have to check if the photographer minds me posting them. del |

Well done. Thanks for posting the results. Excellent time from the E30.Hope the engine is undamaged. I see that David Kempton is having less luck in the penultimate driving machine I'm fine thanks and yes still having fun racing. We are at Pembrey next weekend, but I guess that you will be at Donnington? If not, come and see us. I believe that we are having a BBQ on Saturday evening. Cheers John |

Hi Baz
If you are at Pembrey do come and join us. I rather thought that you would be at Donnington with the eerc. |

Hi John,
Hoping to be at Donington, engine being stripped down this morning. If I don't make Donington I may well come down. Say hello to Trevor F, etc. I think Dave Kemptons car had some mechanical problems, nice pink colour though ! del |

Maybe David went a bit pink with frustration. It visited the pits a few times.
Still waiting on engine news, the Effingham Guru may have to help us.... del |

I'm staying at the Farmhouse Baz, 01332 862409. Just down the road. They may drop the price if it is just for one night and they have the availability.
btw. Britcar Brands coverage on Sky sports 2, hopefully any minute now. |

Looks like you're in there then Baz!
Melbourne View is v good, nice restaurant, good brekkie. Owner is Alan who enjoys a chat about racing. Rates will be rock bottom as they will still be redecorating after our last weekend's stay. |

Full reports now up on dailysportscar.com, and the EERC website.
Britsports coming soon. Was the Brands race actually shown on World Motorsport? The introduction intimated that it was just DTM, Barber-Dodge, and rallying. I watched for around 80 minutes, then gave up, since I didn't think there would be time for anything else. |
