I don't see why they would say Patron is relatively unknown, then drop Rolex to Tudor? Thats just funny imo.

You're taking the rap comment way too seriously... see that spinning head?

And I think the Patron comment of Scott's was silly, too. Not sure what you mean by "drop Rolex to Tudor" but if it means the way it reads, I doubt USCR/USCC "dropped" Rolex, I think Rolex said something like, "Our Tudor sub-brand, returning to the North American market, will be the title sponsor of your 'new' North American racing series.. if you'd still like our money."

The point being, the Tudor brand has been absent in the market for a decade, and isn't particularly well known. It is an obscure name that adds little, to nothing to the marketing of USCC. In fact, it might be a bit of a negative.

Ideally, a promotional partner adds to the value of your franchise as well, and when it is obscure and mostly unknown, how does it do that initially? For example, if this was the Coke, or Budweiser, or Red Bull USCC, it would further lend credibility to the series. Now we've got an unknown brand, matched with an unknown brand...

Hopefully Tudor markets the heck out of themselves and the series though...
Fair enough. They are starting to advertize more... the electronic version of Men's Journal has a four page Tudor advert, for just one of their models.

Two Door United Sports Car Championship makes more sense....although Tudor is luanching more internet media as write these. Wonder what they paid for the five year deal and if any of it gets to the teams.

Next year's schedule typically isn't released until the last race of the year.

And in complete atypical fashion, that won't happen this year.

Of course, if the schedule comes next weekend in Texas it would be before the last race of EITHER series. Hahaha.

I'd fully expect it..likely released at the same press conference as the WEC.

That would be an improvement over past years when the schedule wasn't released until the Petit.

Right?

Obviously, it's been released as early as Road America. Then there was that stretch where Petit wasn't the final race...

A nice two page spread Tudor add in the new R&T showing a chronograph with a classic Ferrari.

Scott Atherton and friends made an announcement of the Tooter partnership yesterday before the NASCAR press conferences at Navy Pier...

I'm sorry, this is going to be GrandAm 2.0.....I have zero faith left....it's all done.

Look at it this way: The people over at the Cogzone say the same thing only about ALMS 2.0... so TPTB must actually be doing something right.
