The last day on the HSCC Advent Calendar on Facebook appears to show a familiar face!
(With photo credit to FB & HSCC of course). |

Excellent way to sign off for Christmas. And as I'm traveling around for much of today (as are many others) I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone here a very merry and relaxing Christmas or in Gerard's case Joyeux Noel.

Happy Christmas all!
My weekend has involved our heating system which is starting to go temperamental again. I think it has loosened up another lump of crud in the pipes and rads somewhere. Only last week I mentioned to a neighbour (with the same micro bore piping) how good it had been to get the system filtered. I thought at the time I might be tempting fate. Friendly plumber has loaned me the chemical filtering system again so I'll connect it all up shortly. Had hoped to be able to leave it until Tuesday or Wednesday but ... Would much prefer to be car shuffling. I'll be getting some stick for not taking some stuff to the local recycling place as planned for this week. That it is Christmas and other matters have arisen to disrupt plans is unlikely to be accepted as a good reason for the the change of plan. C'est la vie. Have a good one everybody. |

Lovely pic of Iain.
Happy christmas to all from a surprisingly mild north England. Was in Scotland yesterday and even mild there too. |

I've done consecutive Sainsburys runs for the last two mornings, so hopefully we will now be able to last the whole 36 hours that the supermarkets are closed. Merry Christmas everyone, and yes, that does include you too Baub! |

Human behaviour is amusing at times- from the queue this morning (when I was trying to get past), you’d think the local branch was closing down for a month!

Just think how much busier it would be if everyone wasn't broke, struggling, just managing, etc etc.... I popped into my local Carrefour for some bread & cheese with no problems at all, which I then enjoyed together with some Adnams Beer chutney for lunch! |

The daughter of a friend of mine here has a French boyfriend, & the first time he was treated to an English Sunday roast at her home, he went home & told his mother all about Yorkshire Pudding. She was horrified & told him he must never go there again - she is a dog-lover & someone in the past had evidently rather naughtily told her that Yorkshire Pudding was made from Yorkshire Terriers! She has now been convinced that is not true & they are all friends. Joyeux Noel et Bonne Annee! |

Thank you, Peter, have a Merry Christmas too.
John, you must know that when we go to certain chinese restaurant here, the boss laughs at our Yorkies and proudly says: "Ho, you brought your dinner with! This kind of dogs in my country we eat them! " Another weird story about this particular race is that they were used in coal mines with a candle on the head to detect any undesirable gaz. I can't believe it of course. Have a Merry Christmas all! Love and fun. |

So many clues in that photo....
I’m thinking it has to be a regular HSCC circuit, so that narrows it down to one of eight..... or possibly not. Brands Hatch? |
