It has been a contact sport for many years. That's how it's advertised and that's what "most" of the large crowds come to see and "most2 drivers have played their part.

I expect people to rub paint but still leave enough space on track to not send the other party onto the grass and possibly spinning off into the tire barriers. Turkington eg this year made lots of gutsy passes leaving orange marks on other peoples cars, without the one being passed ending up off track. So that is what I expect, close hard racing but where the aim of the driver is not to just score big points by making sure others can't finish the race.

Personally, I feel some of it is OTT and as stated leaves a lot to be desired, but its nothing new. You have to accept it, unless you are part of the MSA (I assume your not). That is part of the BTCC. It ain't changing! I would agree, Turks showed how it can be done this year |

Martin Depper has rolled the Forster Motorsport BMW during testing at Oulton. Sounds like a gentle-ish accident (as gentle as it can be, rolling a touring car lol), but appears to be a small setback rather than a biggie.

*Blows dust off topic*....wow, it's got a bit quiet in here hasn't it? I guess we have longer to wait for news seeing as it's still quite a while before the first round!
Unfortunate to hear about that incident, hopefully didn't cause too much damage and it doesn't sound like it did, I guess it's what a racing driver would call "finding the limit", no? |

Still, at least they are out testing, which is more than most independents manage. |

The NGTC engine seems to become a success. Now I hope the same will be for the chassis.

I thought it sounded strange too, but was just throwing it out there.. So I see from some pictures it appears Andrew Jordan's Vectra is a new build from a road car? My presumption there was he'd take one of the ex works cars? |

http://img154.yfrog.com/i/w2vt.jpg/ The car being blue put me off the scent.. for some reason that made me think they'd taken a road car, but looking at the sketch of the car, blue is going to be the base colour. |
