Bit of a shock finding a vast array of the original components (steering, suspension, drive shaft, wheels) on the car had cracks I am not surprised at this the car is "original" and the ozzies have no rules like we do up here for crack test certs evry 2 years ( now 5) and fascinating to find it still fitted with the original 1972 fuel bags. you will be surprised how many cars had original cells until they had to do new tanks evry 5 years for FIA rules to race historics- if it aint broke why fix it mentality on fuel cellsMy aim is to repair / retain as much of the original as possible (except for the fuel bags). personally i would throw all wishbones toe links etc away make new units if u want new uprights driveshafts half shafts etc let me know

Drifty, Robin D (was he from Liverpool?) entered a '742' in a few Libre races in 76. Not sure whether he started any of them though, I have him entered at Mallory in the July 76 MCD Open race.

06/03/76 - Robin Darlington was entered in the Kincraft. He practiced but did not start the race. 01/05/76 - Robin Darlington was entered in a white March 722 under the Liverpool Car Dismantlers banner but did not turn up. |

I have 32 libre results logged for Robin Darlington, the first in a Lythgoe BT16 early in 1966, then 20 starts and 18 wins in the Kincraft from May to August 1966, three wins in Ken Shepperd's McLaren M3A-Cobra in May/June 1967, four races in the ex-Fenning Brabham BT21A (then owned by Alan Fraser?) in the autumn of 1968, a DNS in a March '712S' at Llandow in 1972 and and finally a groups of DNSs or DNAs in either the Kincraft or an unidentified F2 March in 1976. His record in the Kincraft was amazing until he shunted it at Oulton in August 1966. It then went to Jim Moore who raced it until the end of 1968. Allen |

He also said his father Peter had the ex Cramer martyn Griffeths march 742 that wa scrashed and rebuilt as March Pilbeam car more on this later when i have my scribbles to hand also asking peter directly what he can recall of the car |

The Adrian Wilkins 722 chaps. Who was he, I'd never heard of him prior to his 72 F2 season, nor after that. Was it a pukka 722, and where did he and the car go after that season?

Dan, I think he'd been in sports cars with a Chevron B8 or something like that. It was a real 722, chassis 15, and Coombs ran it for him, so he must have had some money. Don't know for sure where it went, but think that it might have gone to Holman Blackburn for Atlantic and not been raced. I think it's the 722 f/s AS 9.8.73 p. 74 March 722 with FT200 'unused this year' phone Wormley 2270 with Capri 3.0GT in same ad sounds like Blackburn
