Just like say a big thankyou to those with less than oil tight engines
As for the fuel pump prices, sorry but didn't have the need to get any,it's all done for us. Still the best circuit in the world, despite the GT3RS being a little "loose" through Pouhon,Stavelot and Blanchimont

[Didn't bother with the lap-top this time as the all singing and dancing android was supposed to take its place! Turns out the muppet at VM wasn't that clued up on one or two things,Yeah,it'll get all mail while your abroad, really excellent phone. Not!!

The far end of the F1 pit lane!

I suspect the XJC engine failure left some residue as well......

It felt as though there was a residue of oil EVERYWHERE Mike, still no damage suffered by any car,so Friday turned out to be a really great time with plenty of laps being covered.

They normally go off cookies in your computer so you must have been trying to buy one at some point. Colin, don't let your wife see your post as the poor woman was in a bad enough state watching you at Spa, I hate to think of the consequences of her reading that one. Unless of course she's been using your PC for online shopping for you

I have just received an email from Denis Welch Motorsport and they talk about a healey setting a quality lap of 2.56.921 for the Spa 6 Hour. I know I am out of the loop these days but is that correct? Seems indecently quick for a Healey no matter how famous a history...

The SpeCTator should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
My feet have just about touched the ground since getting back from Spa!

Great to meet so many 10/10thers and a pleasure to share a table in our hotel with The Honourable Peter and Lady Mallett Hope the Capri will be straightened out soon Peter.

The entry at Spa always produces the great and good, weird and wonderful, my favourite this year must be the Harm Lagaaij Shadow Mk 1, described by Mrs SpeCTator as a billiard table on wheels

Great to see the battle of the 10/10thers fighting for the lead of the 6 hours, congrats to Simon and Leo, bad luck to Roger and Brendon.

In 3 weeks we covered Goodwood, Spa and VSCC Snetterton, a more diverse series of classic races would be hard to find

It was Mrs SpeCTator's idea to go to Snetterton

So many drivers have said "wished my wife liked racing instead of bloody XYZ"

Considering putting her on eBay

Why would anyone want a wife that likes racing? My wife hates it and is quite happy when I go away. I've done Spa last weekend but one, Nurburgring this weekend and Snetterton next weekend. Even better than a wife is a dog, my dog sulks when I'm away and is over the moon when I get home, my wife is is OK when I'm away and couldn't give a **** when I get home, how good is that

- to remind me about briefing times

Yeah My Partner helps out too.....
warm drink
food
friendly face at 2am on a friday night while trying to fit the engine
walk me round the paddock while the guys set the car up an do finishing prep

Gee Rachael actually helped lift the freshly paint body shell off the trailer....

two of us, a strategically placed old sofa and some tall axle stand...... wasnt as fun as it nearly sounds.

My 'breadknife' has been invaluable to our racing exploits, far more reliable than any other help . . . or maybe she's just keeping a close eye on me . . .. hmm

not sure about the friendly face at 2am . . . if the muttering and swearing about making a racket and wine breath where anything to go by at Goodwood . . I blamed Arthur, it was his party.

La Comtesse used to compete in dressage and working hunters. Do not raise the subject of the cost between equestrian sport and motor racing. I could have had 5 Jim Clark F1 cars, a couple of Le Mans Bentleys and still have money to burn.
