On track racing is good so far. I like that they add 3 laps after the 55 minute time expires if there was a safety car period during the race. Question the double file restart format but it has not produced a crash yet. I only started watching DTM myself this year for the first time since they run GT3 cars. DTM Grid is a good streaming service. At least in USA no black outs so far.
Would not just pitting in the middle of the race be the best strategy for tire wear? Seems like the teams either pit early or pit late. The commentator needs an analyst partner in the booth big time. The female pit reporter is...meh.. She is no Shea Adam. Funny thing Sophia Floresch might better off doing this after a couple years. She would probably be pretty good. Sophia...ugh. She is so slow. You can tell just watching the body language of the car during the race. |

Btw does anyone know if 'guest' entries such as JP Motorsport and Klien or Hubert Haupt are eligible to score points? Haven't found any sporting regulations regarding this...
As for guest starts, grid for Nürburgring is growing - Toksport (starting in ADAC GT and GTWC) will field a Merc for Luca Stolz. |

Not crying about it, somehow I never liked Paffett although I feel sorry for his bad luck.
Always wanted to see Maxi Buhk in DTM so happy he can continue full (or almost full) season. If Mücke could expand to two cars next year with both Paffett and Buhk behind the wheels that would be cool. |

Great news we got our Porsche in DTM!
https://sportscar365.com/other-serie...-with-porsche/ Odd that the race is on Le Mans weekend, but there are lots of GT3 team and driveres that would be sitting on the sidelines otherwise. |

I managed to catch race 2 from the Nurburgring this weekend - good to see Alex Albon taking a win. The other thing was the driving standards - what on earth has happened? It was total carnage from the start and every re-start, the drivers just seemed incapable of avoiding each other, very odd. I've not seen any of the other rounds so far this season - is that normal for the GT3 DTM?

Entertaining racing in the DTM GT3 era. I was sceptical having been a fan of the Class 1 cars but it seems to be doing well. Some drivers need to settle down a bit though. Liam Lawson is an extremely talented driver and a great young guy but some of his moves this year have been a bit desperate. Then again he had plenty of mates this weekend. I thought Gotz was lucky not to get a penalty a couple of times during Sundays race.

Well done Albon on getting that first win, he certainly deserved it

It was great to have 23 cars on the grid, hopefully we'll see around it full time next year. Honestly quite a shame the part-time entries are 'invisible' as far as the points are concerned. Would be more fun (and more sense for them) to start a few races. |

Likely SSR never will be back in the DTM. They absolutly hated this weekend, the BoP (on sunday quali the rain was key for them), the driving standard etc.

Another thing, however, is that they have certain conditions and I doubt Berger would be bothered to change a lot of regulations for just one team who can't accept that DTM is not ADAC GT. |

I can understand their frustration. The driving was nuts in race 2 especially. The 2 by 2 restarts is not a good idea. Too NASCARish. I think the pit stop windows need to tighten.
Still DTM has been a good watch so far this year. Hope this continues into the next serveral years with the GT cars. It is better to have 7 manufacturers on the grid than 5. They got to do something to keep McLaren and Porsche entries in there. But yeah a 20-22 car grid, with 7 manufacturers is the ticket for DTM to be sustainable for the next half decade. |

It’s a shame they had to ditch the tin tops and go GT, but so far it’s been good enough, so fair play to them

Race 1 at Red Bull Ring has been good so far. Don’t understand why a couple of drivers each race run right to the last couple of laps before making their pit stop. Is it to save tyres for tomorrow? Gamble on a late SC? Just it seems to cost you SO much time overall.
Track limits abit annoying at RBR, they’re almost completely off the track on the entries to a couple of corners |

I insist that the DTM should establish a pitting window, for example between minute 20 and 30.
