Couple of Good News Stories for NZ Racers overseas.
Earl Bamber back in the WEC at the Nurburgring next week, and Nick Cassidy landing a drive in Top Euro F3 team for the rest of the year. That should be a good test on how hes going! |

We were at Hungaroring a few weeks ago and were very disappointed for him as his car was struggling to be a back runner, it was a dog in every respect. He drove the ring off it but still remained chasing around the rear of the field. It was neat to see the grin back in the podium photo last night, it had been missing for a while. |

Scott Dixon winning another Indy title has to rank right up there also! Fantastic to see, its just a pity Mr Montoya now has a case of Sour Grapes.

Stanaway top step at Sochi GP2, after a few safety car confusions at the end, Would it be better to change the national anthem than the flag?

Totally agree about both anthem and flag, I am proud and respect both. See no reason to change.
Pleased the yellow flag issue was sorted for Richie. |

Mitch has had some issues with the people working on his car, at Hungary where we were watching it was embarrassing to see them formed up on the grid and then working on the front suspension. Car was still as slow as buggery and handled like a pig with no corner speed Since then I understand, there has been a change in personal working on the car including bringing back his crew chief from last season prior to the Monza round. Since then both Mitch and the car have been back on the pace |

Well done to Nick Cassidy for winning Japanese F3.....great achievement and I wonder if it could lead on to a GP2 seat?
But of course the biggie is Hayden being signed to Hyundai until 2018. You could see it coming few months back to be fair, but this is just huge news full stop. Serious congrats to Hayden and John, and I wonder if he will be their number 1 driver as of next year? Also, with the new machine for 2016 looking pretty damn good, things could change quite dramatically for him, and championships could become a reality. It really is just a matter of time. Go Kiwi go! PS This flag thing is total BS isn't it? Just stick with what we've got and respect it. |

The more I see of Mitch, the more I think he's the real deal. Definitely ready for a step up, just a case of finding where to go. |

Great to see that Mitch has picked up an extremely wealthy backer for 2016, which might actually get him in to F1 when, until very recently, the door appeared closed. Fingers crossed that he has a good season with Campos. |

Also, very happy that Brendan Hartley has eliminated the errors and turned into a really good sportscar driver, not just fast but also a reliable pair of hands. With that season under his belt I can only see him getting even better.

[QUOTE=Mark Petch;3595383]!00% agree, Mitch is the real deal,
Great to see that Mitch has picked up an extremely wealthy backer for 2016, which might actually get him in to F1 when, until very recently, the door appeared closed. Hadn't seen or heard of this previously. Can anyone please shed anything further? I'm so hoping it's true. |
