DJR still owns their winningest car. Bob Tweedie owns a an ex-Seton Sierra, possibly two.

The Tweedie car either was for sale or has been sold, along with all the spares. There used to be another B&H car in the museum at Morwell (the LHD car that was the spare for Bathurst 1988). IIRC, the Bowden's do have an ex-DJR car, but I don't know which one. Another of the ex-DJR cars was for sale in Unique cars, but that was a good couple of years ago now.

The Hintons (Qld) have a DJR, One of the Seto cars was at CLIPSAL. Apparently Brian Sala has just sold an ex-B&H (Wolf) car, there was another B&H car at the Touring Car Festival at Oran Park in April, I heard that Peter Champion has an '05' Sierra so that would make a few of them still in the country!

Ahhh but where did Moff's Eggenberger cars end up? They were the jewels worthy of keeping, and hardly did a day's work in their lives.... the 1989 car especially

I remember a few months a go there way a guy from the UK who posted on here that he had just bought one of the ANZ Sierra's as well as owning a few others including a Texaco sponsored Sierra. I don't know if that was the 89 car though. |

The great irony is that he didn't drive the XU-1 in The Historic Touring Car support races in order to concentrate on the 1000. |

Incidentally, RCN reported that the car ran by the Brock team for Tony Noske in 1990 was the ex-Brad Jones 1989 car rebuilt after Barry Sheene crashed it at Winton. Don't know if it was re-shelled or not. As for finding the real Brock Sierras, at least one of the ex-Rouse cars survived active duty intact and Rouse gave all his cars ARE chassis numbers... |

It is interesting that after Miedecke's accident at Mallala, he didn't run the last two rounds at Wanneroo and Oran Park, even though seemingly they had some spare cars.

Cars, but not budget. Same thing happenned two years later to the team's second car when Neil Crompton was the number two, even with the supposedly cheaper to run VN's. While the budget was spent upgrading the 05 to VP specs Neil's ride was cut, and Cromley was off to another team before the car was finished leading Miedecke to be drafted back into the team again.
A shame, but a blessing in disguise for Cromley, but for a little luck he would have won Bathurst in the car he subsequantly picked up. |

An ex-Colin Bond Caltex Sierra finished up in the hands of Ron O'Brien (O'Brien Aluminium.) He ran it as a Sports Sedan with a V6 Buick engine for many years.

For those interested, the latest edition of Australian Muscle Car magazine has an article on the 98 Bathurst winning Pirtek Falcon. Still owned by Craig Harris, it looks good repainted in Pirtek colours.

The Mike Ceveri car was the OXO Supercube car that Don Smith rolled in practice for 1987 Sandown 500 after Andrew Miedecke had put the car on the pole. The car that replaced it was the car that Miedecke used for 1988 and was destined for Kevin Waldock when it was burnt out in the Lakeside crash.
Andy Lloyd has DJR1, the car used by Dick in 1987 and by John Bowe in 1988. This was the lone DJR car to make it to the finish at Bathurst in 1988. It was this car, in Dick's hands at Adelaide International Raceway, that supposedly scored the first major touring car victory for the Sierra RS Cosworth anywhere in the world. I'd like to see if that's true or not; it definitely beat the Eggenberger cars to the punch in the WTCC, don't have results from the BTCC or the DTM; anyone? The B&H car at the Clipsal was the LHD Longhurst-built car that sat in the garage at Bathurst in 1988. Wasn't the Seton Sierra at the Clipsal the ex-Bob Tweedie car? I thought there were only ever two Glenn Seton Racing Sierras in existence at any one time. |

Where is the Ceveri Sports Sedan Sierra now?? I have not seen that run for a very very very long time. It was white with Esso sponsorship last time I saw it if I recall correctly.
