Certainly loose engine mountings will affect the handling. You can trail brake with them, if it is causing turn in oversteer and you still prefer to trail brake put a bit more pre load on the front spring.
As for the Mygales, there were two of them, and---------- you can guess the other bit I'm sure.

We also picked up the first of our FR2000's this weekend. no time for anglesey this year i'm affraid.

I haven't heard anything except that we are expecting to be hit with an increase in registration fee.
I guess all will become clear in the coming month.
What are your plans ADEE?
We've sold Ian's yellow Ttuus, my long suffering blue one is having a respray and engine rebuild, and we've brought a couple of other cars.

Is registration still available?

Hi, I'm thinking about entering the series next year with Tatuus chassis - can I still pre-register? What is the likely registration cost for 2008. Many thanks for the info.......

Pre registration seems to be something they have thought up for this year, presumably with the intention of guaging the level of interest. In reality, the teams have pre-registered the number of drivers they hope to have, and so the figures are not based on fact, just a wish list.
Unfortunately they intend sending the registration forms to those who have pre-registered first, so it is worth doing. You will find the appropriate details somewhere on the web site.
I don't know the cost of registering yet, but I have a feeling it will be more than last year.
Do you have a car? what Tatuus model is it?

Hi Bob
Likely to purchase a Tatuus 98/99 chassis currently available, if I fit it. Trying to decide whether to race it in BARC (which is where it belongs I know, was raced there during 07 I understand) or whether to race it in F750 or Monoposto (I understand the dreaded 40mm ride height issues)
Registration this was £xxxK? I'm assuming this includes all entry fees?
Many thanks in advance for the advice
Paul

Registration in the past has not included entry fees, last year it was, If I remember rightly £486. I was never very keen on that amount, but in reality, prize money was relatively easy to get in the Club class ( compared with the Championship class ) and so, over the year that was easily recouped.
I presume the car you are looking at must be a Reon car, as I don't know of any others which are currently advertised. We may sell our other one if we can't find a paying driver, but it is currently in many pieces as I said in an earlier post.

REALIST has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Reg fees £1630 FR2000, £1150 Club class, including race suit.

Paul.....Best wait until Bob has got one of his cars for sale rather than buying the ex-Reon car I have offered you........after all, i've always felt that when people start seeking advice on forums about cars i'm offering them then they are much better, in the long run, to just buy something from the guys whose advice they seek. That way you just can't go wrong.

Not sure if Bob will be happy to let you have a 98/99 Tatuus with 3 sets of wheels, spares package etc, delivered to your door for £6950....but then price really isn't everything & for my part I only really want customers who feel they can have some confidence in what i tell them.

You are absolutely right Dermot, we are not selling a car for £6950, we would sooner rent it or drive it

As I read it, you only get the free race suit if you register for the Championship class.

Well, I hope there will be a few more goodies coming our way during the year, but you're right, I am still staggering around clutching at my wallett to stem the bleeding.

Hi guys,

I've sold my Tatuus 97 so am interested in FR2000 if possible for 2008.

If anyone sees 2 x cars going at a good price and wants someone to jump in with them then let me know ;-)

At least the official Renault docs don't actually say such words as 'free' race suit - for £478 difference between the fees I'm pretty sure it's more than paid for ;-)

James,
Having just brought 2 FR2000's I am pretty sure there is no such thing as a good price, unless you are the seller !!
