Zukanovic with Simonsen and Bright, will be interesting to see how the big Mustang goes over twelve hours.

Maybe the 'Stang impressed in testing. At least it has some drivers that know how to look after machinery in long distance events.

I presume this to mean #14 will not have Holden signage aboard?

The Zukanovic/Simonsen/Bright mustang entry is looking like a race winner. The car is fast enough and should hold together for 12 hours........

Not from what I heard on 2BS (Bathurst) today, that the Holt BMW was 4 seconds a lap quicker at Eastern Creek last week testing, than what it was last year. So that would equate to roughly 6 seconds at Bathurst?

Really looking forward to this event now. Quality field. I noticed that the field is down to 45 cars on the entry list. I know the Mechtler EVO has gone, but what is the other one.
Also, does anyone have an entry list for HQ Holdens, Saloon Cars or Group N?
Thanks.

Looks as though the Sherrin BMW 135i is missing off the list, thats a shame.

By the sounds of it, scrutineering will be a **** fight, and not just for this car either...

6 seconds is a lot to improve. What lap time would that equate to?

Yeah I think Holty is pretty good at talking up his machinery, i'm thinking the car won't be any quicker than around a 2.30 - 2.31 at best.

Some funny stuff going around in pre-event PR.

My runner-up to the award given to people who talk out their proverbial is Toyota, for discussing Bob Holden's history without mentioning his outright Bathurst win in '66 (Mini Cooper S).

Gold logie however goes to Garth Walden describing himself as a former V8 Supercar team owner. I doubt anyone else would be so generous as to call that shemozzle a 'team'.

Just goes to show that people dont read things right or just put things down that suit themselves. Here pplater read this.

The former V8 Supercar team owner will be shooting for three straight wins in the Holden Motorsport supported entry along with the same two co-drivers from the winning years, his son Garth Walden and Michael Auld.

So Garth did not say that he was a former V8 Supercar team owner.

My mistake, it's Brian Walden who owned Walden Motorsport. Garth's an innocent party there.

Whats the issue? The team ran an AU in plenty of rounds in 2004, that doesn't qualify Brian Walden to say he ran a V8Supercar team?

The press release HERE from Toyota mentions the Bathurst win in the second line!
