Well for me I needed a dab on the brakes everywhere except devils elbow, but it was my first time on track. I enjoyed it there and am really looking forward to going back to race.

See if I can't give you a better run this time sam.

You shouldn't say flat to Sam...he'll take it literally and will end up spinning about 100 times!!!
Sorry Sam!

Ah, bradenc.... you put yourself down.... always think like a champion, no matter where you start on the grid!!!

To be fair, I do see your point (to some degree) however it's very important to understand the Regulations. I think this is the missing link.... when put in context of the regs, the admittedly relatively little communication did in fact make sense.

Trouble is there's lots of them.... I'd advise taking a few mins and at least reading the 750 mc's own regs (available on website) plus the supplementary regs on the back of the entry form/on the joining instructions.

I have to say I had to ask around about reserves etc at silverstone, it not just guys who are new to racing who find it a bit bemusing at times - that and on the way to practice I couldn't find the holding area!!!

the number of drivers who turned up late to the briefing ahead of the restart was scandalous.
Despite being around Parc Ferme after the second red flag I heard no mention of a drivers briefing for the restart and didn't hear it on the Paddock tannoy. Fortunatly I was told by someone else and went straight over but it is easy to miss tannoy announcments amid the noise.

I agree, sort off. I travelled a long way to race (as always! ) and was at least going to give it a go. I had never driven the car in the wet, let alone the rain and found the conditions "challenging" but not unduly dangerous when treated with caution. The first two starts were the most difficult times but by the later restart I felt that conditions were much better and was enjoying learning about the car in wet conditions.

Still I'm hoping to make it to Cadwell in a few weeks, failing that Mallory is a definite. I'm looking forward to ending the season on a high note after a disappointing last few races.

Seriously, I am only doing 2 races this year, silverstone. 22nd in the heat, and Mallory on the 19th, some I am not much of a contender this year.

Did you have a problem in practive Bill?

Fil, shouldn't you be leaving now if your going to make it to Cadwell on time?

Yes, had Clutch cable break on 2nd lap in practice... just one of those seasons.... everything's gone wrong this year, engine, tyres, brakes, clutch... driver...

Doing Cadwell but not Mallory... I understand that the new chicane is likely to be in use at Mallory.... still wont be doing it!

Don't you like mallory or just got something better to do Bill? I thought the chicane was only for bikes, or am I way behind on this chestnut?
