But can anyone tell us has any work actually been done to rectify the situation? I always thought actions speak louder than words.

Agreed Alan G is talking about the BTCC but as I suggested he is the top bloke in the MSA and if he says the meeting before (as posted by John Gee) then I'd suggest he means that the Masters weekend and the BTCC events are on.

The MSA and donington have now reached agreement on what work needs to be carried out to rectify the situation : -

Even though this will cost Donington money!

They also say that the GP will be held there next year so we can all believe that!
You will know on Sunday if it has happened or not.
The same people who would not leave Abbey alone due to legal ramifications are set to make this decision so if any way they can become responsible for any repercussions of a decision it will not happen
Hope it does and if I were Ron I would be looking to kick someones ar..!
It was all so predictable

Picture #7 gives a good indication of how it looks trackside. A definite improvement in terms of run-off area, although from picture #2 it seems there's still no barrier on the inside.

After all the rumours it's good to see some progress, however the tunnel appears far from finished and the MSA track inspection is supposed to be tomorrow.

I would have thought that picture two was taken yesterday.Besides which it would be the outside run-off that was causing more concern.

I thought it was the bikers who were concerned about the outside and the MSA/FIA about the inside.

Either way I'd be more concerned about the sudden 15ft drop.

Good luck for tomorrow, I think you will need it. Imagine dropping in to that at a 100mph, I think it would be curtains.

Thinking positively (i.e. it will be ON) does anyone know where there is a copy of the paddock plan for the Masters? It's mentioned on the final instructions for the Master's but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks

No, but had an email from Masters office regarding timetable changes. It says- 'We look forward to welcoming you at Donington from 14h00 tomorrow afternoon'.

So I guess that is as close as we are going to get to an 'It's on'!

Regards, Mike

Masters are proceeding on the basis that the relatively small amount of work required on the circuit can be completed overnight, that the inspection tomorrow will be satisfactory and that the meeting will go ahead as planned.
I shall not be able to post after tonight and I'm therefore prepared to post my mobile No 07860 899175 for anybody to call me if they're still unsure of the position.
I know our moderators frown on publishing phone numbers but in these unusual circumstances and the fact that my number is in the public domain (i.e. the Blue Book) I hope they will allow it.
