Toyota and Audi would be smart to stay out until the tank runs dry. Not worth falling back to the end of another safety car line where you would lose alot of time fighting past traffic

Looks like they're finally wrapping things up now at the site of the crash.

That's what I had heard as well, although Hindy (from DSC) sounded like it was reports without team confirmation. Someone from AMR was interviewed on ES but don't have their audio on to know who it was and don't know the teams well enough to know.

That Aston took a serious crunch; wheelbase on the left side looked to be shortened

I like what Jamie just pointed out about the Porsche signs directly across from the Audi pits.

Weird that he's not been transported to the "real hospital" but Dave Richards wouldn't comment on his condition.

Andrew Marriott just reported that he talked to David Richards. Said that Richards would not give an update on simonsen. Said Richards looked visibly shaken.

Broadrun, people make mistakes, and sometimes do stupid stuff. Expecting perfection isn't going to fundamentally change human beings; it just tells people that nothing is ever good enough. Also, such a system will never work, because NOBODY is perfect.
Also, people have their favorite drivers. Booting them is only good at making it difficult, if not impossible, for the series to keep a lot of fan interest. Just because the cars are the stars doesn't mean that drivers don't matter. And when the factories can threaten to pull out, is the WEC realistically going to tell them that one of their drivers is out? Get real! Yes, the Safety Car was the right call. Rusty, I think it was, mentioned the SAFER Barrier. However, you have to mount that to another, existing barrier. Le Mans is a temporary course, so what would that other barrier be except for Armco? Also, Armco has the advantage of having quite a bit of give, compared to concrete or something else, which is good for the drivers. Unfortunately, they haven't been as efficient this time around as they were last year with Anthony Davidson. |

Lol, these guys have something to learn about safety cars, what a total mess!
How on earth is it fair to split up the GT race? Unless of course they give time back later which would be fair surely |
