I may end up eating my own words.

If this turns out to be a full factory effort and not an ecoboost in a p2 I don'tt know if I would be more shocked or excited.

Still doesn't feel right,ford has no business in top level prototype racing.its like having Audi run in NASCAR,it's just not their business and wouldn't feel right.

I dunno I guess we shall see....

If this rumor doesn't materialize (in exactly what it is saying: Ford in P1), I won't listen RLM or read DSC...

Remember a while back (last fall) when rumours started at Austin that a DP or two would be allowed at Le Mans?
An Eco-boost DP next year? ;-) And they'll call it a "Probe"

That should just about be all of the speculation... :-)

Lol, why would a european centered race have a team announce something in Detroit? Youd take a page from Nissan and do it aroud this time, in Europe. But I dont expect Dagys to be in the know of everything, nor expect ford to announce anything. But I do want it to happen!

It would be sort of hilarious if John would be out of the loop on this announcement given how it's an American company... but it's sort of unlikely.

I'm starting to fear that it is some less than exciting marketing stunt like a Ford LMP2 engine or something like that.

I'm getting a bit lost in this weeks rumour mill... In terms of the 'fan favourite' announcement expected tomorrow, didn't john just say on RML live that it related to this years race, which is what I had read into the teasers earlier in the week? Very late notice for team news...???

Well thanks to audio trickery I didn't hear anything from Graham Goodwin, but from the RLM crew's reaction it seems that this announcement has run into some delays or other niggling problems. Goodwin will have the details tomorrow apparently.

Perhaps wrongly, I got the impression from that conversation that the 'thing' is still on, just that the timing of the release seems to be subject to some dithering by whichever team has news to share. Intriguing.

I think I saw on Mulsannes Corner FB that Ford had been to AAR, and that was perhaps when the rumour started??
