Granted, TMG can just as easily ditch their plans to run a third car if Audi and Porsche don't commit to doing so. That'd give them incentive to spend the budget on a third car for Spa and LM on something else.

Third car is a no-brainer if they receive a bigger budget like they expect. It'd give them a one-up on the others as well. Samurai-san, I see there's also write-ups on the LC GT500 and the RC F GT3. Anything new?

Hate to say it again and again, but the third car is already part of plan for the next season.
Drivers has been decided (third driver has not been fixed)
The third car will appear in Spa and Le Mans only tho.

Homologation registration of RC F GT3 is an absolute must for Toyota.
However, positive rumor isn't being heard about that.

True, but there's plenty of incentive for them, seeing how they lost out on winning LM two times in the last three years where a third car would have been (in all likelihood) the saving grace.

Thanks for that. I hope Toyota sticks with the planned 3 cars for Le Mans. Like Acid said, it would have likely gave them a win in '14 and this year.

This year they dropped the 3 cars because the additional race in Mexico iirc.

GG mentioned during the Nürburgring broadcast that there are very strong rumors the 3rd car is still very much on the table.

Pascal has mentioned it after the lemans (unfortunately no record on it).
Also, there are not many upgrade to be made for the next season other than few software power ups and engine change, which means more money to be spent elsewhere.
PS: Head of Toyota has also mentioned that they are putting more money for Le Mans racing.

I'm not here to convince anyone, just giving you guys heads up!

well spotted, crash is what i meant. (I haven't typed crash for a while lol)
Few info that I can share...
Something went wrong with braking system which caused over 100km/h crash. (only rear brake was working)

If it's only a bit over 100kmh/60mph, then hopefully it's not that big a deal. But then again, one of the first TS030s got totaled in a low speed accident.

Will the new drivers be on the third car or the full season car?

I am interested because there are some strong rumors one of the new drivers is from Argentina

I'm sure Toyota has a spare chassis so they should be ok either way. Failures in testing are much better than in the race!

If it's a minor accident, I don't think that they'd write off a tub, though from what we know the 2012 TS030 accident was also fairly minor and it damaged that car at least beyond immediate repair (hence why TMG missed Spa that year). Probably depends on what the car hit, and how it struck it irrespective of speed.

Unfortunately 3rd car drivers wont be full season.
at this point in time, I only know that they will be in 2 races.

Maybe I was not clear with my question. Maybe you just cannot tell.

I am just going to pray for the Argentinian to be driving one of the cars that competes the full season and not the third car. However, seeing him at Le Mans would be great enough.
