I presume you've seen it then!!!

Yes, that's the original colour.. Thought it was nasty when I first got the car - but have grown to love it.. eventually.

Ditto to Les. I am a tin tops fan and Vectras and Fiestas were my favourite. I now watch the Clios as they are just as entertaining. The slow racing, as Les said, makes for closer racing and more entertaining.

Dan, I dunno what the Clio times are for Brands Indy, but Triple C this month has a feature on Peter Baldwin's Championship winning Mini Miglia, and says this:

Quote:
"The Tech Focus performance barometer - lap times at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit - provides performance comparisons. The fastest Miglia lap at the October 2000 race was 55.155 seconds, while the Mini Sevens did 60.192 and the Vento VR6s did 55.904 at the same meeting."
Obviously a direct comparison, as the track conditions would be identical back-to-back. Quicker than Ventos... Wow!
Have the Ventos and Clios ever raced at the same meeting? You know, for comaprison purposes?

The same feature says that the top speed for the 140 bhp Miglia on the long straights of Snetterton and Castle Combe is approxiamately 130 mph, going by the 8600 rev peaks recorded on the tell tale rev counter.

Not too slow at all!

RickP... Got any Clio data for us to compare?

Well, according to Ricks time sheets, the Clios are running about 53.100 fastest lap around Brands.

That's only a couple of seconds faster than the Mini Miglias.

Them old Minis are pretty quick, ain't they!?

(And yes, CRAIG! The site is a nice job; I wonder who could have done that!? )

Nice to see we're getting some decent press. Miglias are awsesome. Petes is particularly good.
Mini s7ens in the dry lap in about 58sec at brands even I can do sub minutes. Not bad for 1000cc
