It may happen, but not for the start of the season.

Not confirmed yet, but I think it is pretty certain that Adam will be racing this season.

Revised qualifying and scoring system for this year:
-Aggregate of first two qualifying segments decide sprint race grid, aggregate of second two segments decide the feature -Points of 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 (+1 for FL) apply for both races -Prize money fund split 1/3-2/3 between sprint and feature race |

Re teams / drivers this year, it was announced at Silverstone that Prost will race for France.
For GBR Jarvis will race at Zandvoort and Kerr will race at Brno, and Oli Turvey will also do some races. |

Indeed, Prost has been confirmed as the Friday rookie driver for Team France, with the carrot that he may get some races later.
I'm hearing that Narain Karthikeyan is unlikely to race for Team India and that Karun Chandhok isn't very keen either, which leaves them in a bit of a spot. |

Apologies, I just read the bit saying Prost will be out for France and missed the "on the rookie front" bits.

With equal points, it lessens the dramatic effect of the final. I suppose it could encourage better racing in the sprint though - knowing that so many points are available (and, if that attempt to overtake doesn't work, you won't be losing double with a poor grid spot for the feature), but surely as the feature is longer it requires more effort, more concentration - and the points should reflect this? |

Yeah I'm inclined to agree about points. I think the points on offer this year were about right, but the big problem was that you couldn't risk an iffy move on someone for fear of starting at the back in the feature. At least that one has been solved.

I was surprised to see an image of Karun Chandhok from the Silverstone test. I believe the franchise holder for India has changed, so maybe the issue he had with the India team management has gone. However I think the team manager is still Ebrahim senior?
Would be a big about face for Karthikeyan as he has made statements in the Indian media about doing A1GP this season. Maybe it's true he just had the flu??? |

Personally, I'd be pleased to see him out regularly. But I was talking to a race-winning A1GP driver the other day, who is now racing in WSR, and he said he wouldn't be back. Sees it as a step down and thinks GP2 Asia would offer more. |

That would explain it. A shame as I was looking forward to seeing Narain in A1GP this season.

What do you mean none of the others will fit in the seat? None of them are Nigel Mansell size...
I would like to know how Marchy Lee got on, unfortunately only results by team have been published, much to my annoyance! |

I heard Marchy Lee was not given a new set of tyres to run on, so he was unable to set a really quick time. They only want him and Hanss Lin to test to show that they are open to non-mainland drivers, but in truth they only want to have mainlanders driving for the team.

Ralph Firman has been confirmed as the driver for Team Ireland at Zandvoort. Story here.
Michael Devaney seems to have dropped out of the picture, although he has been racing well in British F3 this season in the unfashionable Mygale. |
