Its a shame for Speedy because he will have to give Voighty some time to scrape off the rust, and get used to a car he hasnt driven
Oh, and it seems Mr Doulman is the favourite to share the #69 car |

Yeah I reckon he deserves a good oppurtunity to make an impression at the mountain, any of the Konica Guys would do the job pretty well.

Remembered reading in pre sandown "Enduro" Thread that Craig Bastian would drive with JOSE Fernandez ( Which one of the three tenors is he ???). One of the people I was speaking to today suggested that the co drive in car 55 could have been Brett Peters "Business Commitments" but I think he was joking. |

I just noticed on the home page that its 9 years since Don Watson had that fatal crash at Bathurst 9 years, seems much shorter than that....
Still see the Don Watson trucks around a lot.. so it seems the family kept the business going.... "Is Don Is Good" Very sad |

I was 22 at the time and driving down the coast when it came onthe midday news on the radio, I was in a panic trying to find out who it was and that was the thursday and even though we had a Ford win with DJR on the Sunday I was still too sad to enjoy the victory.
Why do these things and cancers etc always happen to the nice guys and good people.??? Never understood that one. |

I guess it happens to the others too, which is just as sad, but less people get to hear about it....
You wouldnt such things on your worst enemy.... they also leave a legacy, a family, friends, colleagues, peers... behind to become selfish because we miss them... |

I remember that the story broke on Ch7 midday news, with footage that they didn't bother showing again when they found out what the outcome was.... sad stuff indeed.

In motorsport news today they had Mat Coleman listed as CoDriver for Fernandez.
Hope car 55 and 16 dont decide to have an on track meeting to sort out the Porsche incident from Sandown. |

I have posted AVESCO's third draft of the Konica entry list at the following URL http://racetime.com.au/racedata/entr...ry%20list2.pdf
I didn'tr post here because I couldn't retain the formatting.. As per AVESCO's advice: Note the withdrawal of Cars 26, 55 and 69 and changes to details for cars 14, 22, 87 and 89. |

And the latest, 4th, draft of the Main 161 lap race here - http://racetime.com.au/racedata/entr...ry%20list1.pdf
Again - as a PDF to retain formatting. Note the changes to driver details for cars 3, 59, 69, 72 and 89 and also the elimination of all the cross entrered drivers. Last edited by RaceTime; 3 Oct 2003 at 03:51. |

Just had a long chat with a motor sport wise guy and he advises that Der Speedymeister is a definite starter in the Konica race aboard the Good Ship Peters.
Dunno why you are sledging Brett for his 'business commitments'. A mate in Brisvegas advises that there is now a second Camera House under their umbrella so it is more than likely that he is a very busy man at the moment. BTW, the mate bought a camcorder there and got a killer deal, way cheaper than the big retails, so if you are in the market, vote with your feet and support your local V8 Supercar driver. |
