Mickey Mouse should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I think that this years finalists should mainly come from championship class UK FFord and FRenault.

There is no one in scholarship F3 ... Kane's done a very good job, but he has already won it in 2001.

In Renault i think posibilities are:
Hamilton ( if he does not chose to be excluded)
Rossiter
LLoyd
Stoddart ( First female nomanee??? )

In FFord:
Kimber - Smith ( definite )
Foster ( Just a consistent finisher )
Gaymor ( Won the last 2 and coming good at right moment... he has won more races than any one but TK-S )
Clucas ( Won 2 rounds and 1 heat at start of season but performance seems to have tailed off rather than improved )

My 6 are :
Kimber Smith
Gaymor
Hamilton
Rossiter
Stoddart
LLoyd

I would stick my neck out and put Jamie Morrow..

considering a lack of money, he did well(ish)... Just my opinion!

Of course! Many apologies to Ryan for forgetting that you don't have to be in a British series. He should be nominated, definitely. He has improved a lot this year, and has gained some momentum in his career (I think this is an important factor to take the Autosport award).

As for mentions of Susie Stoddart - she might be a great lass, and she might have got a podium but, to be honest, if she wasn't a girl then no-one would have considered her. Next year could be her year, if she stays in Renault and goes for the title (as she's said she will), she should be a candidate, but not this year. There are too many guys above her.

Not quite correct Bella - he did a full season last year (well all but the last race) with Falcon and has done all of this season with Fortec

Susie is supposed to be doing Formula Renault with Motaworld again next year, and if winter testing goes the way I think it will, she will go really well next year, and I would almost guarantee she will get the award!

Without being drawn into the debate in general (because clearly Lewis should have won it, all other things being equal - as all things are never equal, I would agree with him withdrawing ... it would actually benefit him more in PR terms to do that, than face the slings and arrows of outrageous accusations of good fortune). So 50p says Susie's your girl next year! And I will be at the front of the crowd, cheering like crazy

Ben Clucas should of been nominated last year, and it was a travasty that he wasn't. (probably would have if Simon Kane hadn't made such a hash the previous year.) This year has been hard for him since his crash at Silverstone. I think he deserves the chance to compete fot his award as a nominee. We'll then see how he does on even terms with his peers! Don't forget how well he did in Last years FR winter series. He jumped straight out of the ford and into the Renault and straight away set the pace. He would of won it had he not of crashed out at Donington in a first corner incident.

Has anyone considered posting a poll on this?

I reckon the key nominees would be: Ben Clucas, Susie Stoddart, Ryan Sharp, Tom Kimber-Smith, Ben Clucas, James Rossiter, Alex Lloyd, Ben Clucas, Tom Sisley, Lewis Hamilton (with a note to the effect that he can't!), and Ben Clucas.

They seem to be the ones people are consistently calling for.

I think you pretty much nailed it Mathias apart from TK-S I can't help but wonder if you are a bit of a Ben Clucas fan

I cant recall who said there is nobody in fford that ought to be nominated... I reckon there is, but at the same time there are a handful of really talented brits in FR too. Lloyd, Rossiter, Stoddart would be my three for this year (of course ruling out The Talented Mr Hamilton)

Garagegirl Hiya!!

Could Rob Huff be a contender? Only single seater drivers seem to have been mentioned. Don't forget the saloon 'gayboys'

ROB HUFF HAS HAD ENOUGH SUPPORT!!!!

THERE ARE OTHER CLIO RACERS WHICH NEED IT MORE THAN HIM
PAUL RIVETT, OLI WILKS, JOHNATHON FILDES... HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW IF HE CAN RACE NEXT YEAR DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS.

HUFF DONT DESERVE ANOTHER HANDOUT, AFTER THE TSR SCHOLOSHIP, AND NOW THE FREE SEAT DRIVE!!

HOW COULD HE SERIOUSLY MAKE USE OF THE PRIZE FUND!!
