Amazing how much slower they all were than the Porsche 997 Cup Cars that have recently been testing at Winton! At least a second a lap ahead of Steven Richards FTD.Cup time was set by inexperienced guy too.

MOD HAT ON

Ok guys PLEASE DO NOT POST FULL ARTICLES on Ten tenths Forum , it is against our forum rules read the FAQ

this seems to be constantly happening and will be dealt with by warnings in the future.

a simple solution would be give a quick summary of the article and then link to it , thats the way we would prefer these things to be handled

Mod hat off

P.S Gee its good to finally have these guys on track isnt it

There is a gallery on the HRT website but it only shows the cars with the white wheels.

lol, don't panic buddy. All the quick Falcons are based a fair way north of Winton. Between Lowndes, Ingall and Courtney, I don't think we will be exactly struggling for race wins this year...

It will be interesting to see what these HRT wheels look like. After having everyone running the same design of 5 spoke for so long, to now have 5, 6 and 8 spoke wheels is an interesting change. How long do you reckon it will be before TEGA comes up with a control wheel?

Btw Marcus, regarding your sig, it was 2002 when a marquee blew over at the entry to the pit lane and Murphy came out with that line.

I am waiting for the 3 spoke wheel... TyrrellF1 tried it in the Fondmetal sponsorship days... but they had more than a few wheel failures.

TEGA should have a control wheel, made here in this country, not keeping the magnesium farms in Italy and the UK alive...

I dont know if it is that easy GTR,I think even though they are expensive they would cost heaps more cause there is really no company here that can do it and probably the ones that do come over here are slipped in the big production

The wheels can be done here in Australia. In the past Gibson, DJR, Seton and I think Perkins have all had wheels made.

IIRC, Elfin in the 60s had their wheels cast at Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (Fishermen's Bend???).

They showed HRT's new wheels on RPM on Sunday. I captured it and was watching the recording, but deleted it, else I'd put up some frames from the video.

They looked alright, but I don't know if it suits the car. Have to wait till this weekend I spose.
