Using the map i can see where the campsite is but i can't work out how you get to it.

So could someone give me some rough instructions on how you get to the marshals campsite.

Thanks Very Much

If it's the main marshals campsite, you go in the main entrance, off the A20. Immediately before the gate/barrier where security check your ticket, turn left...follow the road around...after you go over the two speed humps (by the spectator/car park gate) go on another 100 yards or so, turn left, and on the right after the closed off area is the marshals campsite (signposted as such).

If we're using the small one, I'm not sure myself.

I doubt we are using the marshals campsite, more likely to be in the Grey car park, if so, go through the main gate and follow the road untill you see the toilet block just before the Kentagon, you will also see the St. John ambulances parked there. Turn right there and you should see the tents (unless you are first )

Not sure what map you're referring to but look here:-

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=...8443a&t=h&z=15

You want the marshals campsite "used for all the small meetings." (scroll down the list on the left, and click the link)

EDIT - in which case, ignore my instructions about turning left before the gate, and instead go throuch the main gate and try and find that bit. NB: You might not be able to get your car in from the toilet block end..(In my limited experience it's always closed...but note I've never camped in the small site before)...you might have to find your way through the field/car park to the south west of the marshals site. (Don't worry, I'm probably confusing you with this bit...hell, I'm confusing myself.....it'll probably be fine)

Well, I had a great day on post 22 - great company and enough work to keep us occupied, especially after lunch. Kevin - if you're looking in here, welcome to 10ths and hope to meet you up norf sometime on your own patch.

Highlight of the day has to have been the big wave and flash from Stuart - well worth taking my hat off to wave it at you

Cheers, David

Had a great day at brands.
thanks to everyone in the pits and startline for making me feel very welcome.
I may try to get down again but the 220 mile journey is the only thing stopping me.

Thanks to all for a fun weekend at Brands, and especially to Philip, John, David, Darrin and Jim from posts 4 and 9. I really enjoyed working with you all, and please can we import the stock hatch series into North America? What a total hoot.

Racegypsy and I passed a number of battered hatches and Saxmaxes on trailers on various M roads after Sunday's festivities. Funnily enough all the people in the haulers seemed to be as cheerful as we were about the whole thing, so I suspect it wasn't just the marshals who had a good time.

Thanks for letting me come and play in your backyard. Hope to make it back for another 750 when I can afford another trip.

Decent ones Stuart?

Enjoyed the weekend as usual, post 9 on Saturday (with 4 observers on post and none willing to work) and post 4 on Sunday.
Here the magnet switched on again.

Can't we have a Stock Hatch Festival? Maybe I should get a car ready to join the fun, almost felt like the old days.

Stuart, tell your fellow Stock Hatchers they should reply a bit more to the marshals after the finish. Hardly half bothers greeting back. I heard a few "BTCC stars" remarks over the weekend.

I`ve always thought that such a thing would be an excellent idea. A couple of weeks after the end of the season, at Brands.... Get about 80 and spread them across 4 heats, into 2 semis and a final. Would be MEGA !!

Why not have track and rally cross sessions and cars brom both disciplines entering both. Could even have a challenge to see who is overall champion/ and a team award. Could be at Brands or Lydden.

They`re all tin tops, just mix them all in!! OK, so the hatches will probably be quickest (I`m guessing) but you could still have class winners. Cracking, that should easily get it to 8 heats, into 4 quarters, 2 semis and a Final!! Might as well have a last chance race as well! F Vee Festival can support it! (Has there EVER been a knock-out style event for Saloons???).
