Robyn, what regs are you building to? HRSR? got some racy bits here you may be interested in . . . .
I'd assume Iain your nailing a pinto together for the Escort. I've got an old DD F3 head to restore here and hopefully start making some new ones from my Anglia casting stash |

Good to hear, Al. Mk2 doesn't normally beat Mk1s so must be a good one! Guess mine will be a bit heavier as shell is strengthened with possible Tour Britannia or tarmac rallying in mind. Even has mounts for sumpguard just in case! Engine hopefully courtesy of a builder used to preparing Pintos for CTCRC Gp1 with 44idfs, which I think your regs still require?

I have heard that before about AppK blocks but thats on 289's whearas I'm using 302's but I have no idea where the welding is done. But then they re-engineer so much anyway!! £16K for a 380/400hp engine - crazy. |

[QUOTE=delta;2797763] there is a slight difference between an old 109 v8 and a Junior! many are a little overpriced these days.

Nothing in orange I'm afraid.
Top and tail engine and gearbox in the FIA MGB after two seasons/20+ hrs without doing so....oils pressure's still good but it can't go on for ever and it hasn't let me down once. Put top end back together on FISC Midget Get the Grantura out and sorted for 2011. A list as long as your arm: new all steel bottom end (ouch!) and new ancillaries (double ouch!), new 3 sync SC gearbox, new diff with LSD, change this, change that eg seat and harness mountings now attached to steel not fibreglass and then all the long distance stuff if we are to run it in the Spa 6hrs. Oh and a new cylinder head if we can find a decent casting. Currently awaiting billet crank so we can commence engine build. I'm sure there stuff to do to the E type too.... Oh and fit out the new garage.... And keep the family happy.... And don't spend too much.... |

Project 160 for the 360 is ongoing. Another 924, those who know me will be unsurprised to know it doesn't look anywhere as nice as Mikes though. We will be absolutely standard old boy, complete with electric windows and pop up lights!

clearly 924's are the new MGB... I know of at least one other being prepared for the 360 race. Out of interest what power/weight should you expect out of them?
