A little behind the scenes on Garage Revolution's shop, I think Import Tuner had done a past article on their RX8... it's too bad they aren't adapting that 20B to the FD3S
http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index...olution-japan/ similarly it will be interesting to see what Panspeed has done to their RX8 and whether it will be on pace this year with so many competitive teams |

In anticipation of their attendance at this summer's event here are some pictures of Panspeed's Time Attack RX8 at Tsukuba last year
http://re-xtreme.blogspot.com/2011/09/7s-day-2011.html Some videos of the Panspeed RX8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOVzHBblOj8 http://www.braptv.com/play.php?vid=229 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...Qewlhtfdg&NR=1 Option magazine claimed it had a peripheral port 13B with individual throttle bodies making 230+ ps at the wheels... while Super Street listed the power at more believable 420hp |

Due to the short time until the car is loaded into the container this June... it lools like Team USA will be using this year to get a basic set up and some usable track data to work with... in 2013 they will return with no expenses spared with a lighter chassis, full aerodynamics and more power to combat the Cyber GTR, Nemo and the new FXMD build

7 Tune has announced that Hattori will be the driver for the Panspeed RX8 and was also prexent for the shakedowns of both the Voltex S2000 and Hurricane RX7 at Fuji Speedway... both were driven by Taniguchi who will also alternate between the two in Australia... in slightly wet conditions both cars lapped in the 1'45"s and 46's
http://www.7tune.com/world-exclusive-re-amemiya-hurricane-fd-rx7-shakedown-at-fuji-speedway/ for comparisson the Cyber Evo's all time best run was a 1'41''5 several years back and more recently Garage Revolution's best time before last year's WTAC was a 1'41"2 http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index...before-sydney/ also here is another brief article on the team America build before it heads overseas in a container to Australia http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index...-midnight-oil/ MCA Suspensions also recently set up their own blog for fans to follow their time attack drift and other various shop cars as they progress http://mcablog.com/ Last edited by F50GTPlus; 2 Jun 2012 at 15:00. |

With as much money as these teams put into their cars there is bound to be some controversy as soon as someone starts losing or even blown away haha... also some more info here on the Panspeed RX8
http://www.7tune.com/news-panspeed-r...ar-and-driver/ more news on the remaining cars to be officially revealed can be found either on facebook http://www.facebook.com/#!/WorldTimeAttack or the WTAC Official Web Site http://www.worldtimeattack.com/ |

I wonder if the Lotus will return this year. That always felt like the dark horse of WTAC that could win, but no one would put money on.

Panspped has finally been announced as the next Japanese entry with their RX8
http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index...ree-rotor-rx8/ In it's previous state of tune it had lapped Tsukuba in 59.741... hopefully with the new improvements driver will be Naoki Hattori who also has Super GT and Indy Car experience will be able to set competitive times at Eastern Creek http://re-xtreme.blogspot.com/2011/12/tsukuba-super-battle-2011-result.html http://www.7tune.com/news-panspeed-r...er/#more-17594 similar to the approach taken by Garage Revolution and their RX8, Panspeed converted the car to left hand drive to clear room for the NA 20B's exhaust... the RX8 will certainly make more power than their previous RX7 but it may not be as light or as refined in other departments |

There is a rumor circulating that Nemo did their engine in during testing... I believe they also have two others in varying states of tune hopefully the damage was minimal

Looks like quite a few teams should be hitting 300 on the main straight... the real challenge is who can take the first turn without lifting

Unfortunately it looks like Team USA will not be making it to WTAC after a mis-shipment of the car to China by the shipping company... they were informed there is no way the car could make it to Australia in time for the competition but will make it back to LA by late August where it will be developed for the Super Lap Battle finals at Buttonwillow
http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...wtac-2012.aspx Also there are rumors of early laptimes from Nemo being in the 1:29 range already... if true this would be a promising start for their platform and put the heat on the other competitors to find lower laptimes right away |

China? How to do get China mixed up with Australia?
Anyway fingers crossed for Red Brick Racing! |

Yeah sending the car to China is just bizzare... I would hope that they are fully refunded for the shipping companies blunder
and with Tilton Interiors smashing out a 1:27.3100 vs Nemo 1:26.9130... but it's still early so who knows how much either car has left in it |

In the early stages AUS is walking away with the competition... but Under Suzuki who is admittedly having some trouble with the new turn 6 isn't too far off the pace in 4th
1. 1.26:9130 Nemo Chris Eaton Mitsubishi Evo 9 2. 1.27:3100 Tilton Interiors G. Walden Mitsubishi Evo 9 3. 1.29:2470 MCA Suspension Earl bamber Nissan S13 Pulse racing is surprisingly off pace, hopefully nothing broke |

Nemo with a 1.26's now down to a 1.25:740... incredible it's going to take something special from anyone to top them next year
FXMD NSX and ARK BNR32 have their work cut out for them |

There is a battle for third going on between Under Suzuki and The Top Fuel S2000 who knocked out MCA Suspension down to fifth... Top Fuel came out with a 1:29.0520 that Suzuki later beat with a 1:29.0170
but both Top Fuel and Suzuki have quite a way to go before the catch up to the 1.27:3100 of the Tilton Interiors driven by G. Walden in an Evo 9 it'll be interesting to see if Redbrick can sort out the tyre issues and close in on the top competitors |

It's almost unbelievable how fast Nemo is and with less than ideal track conditions... hoepfully they will continue on to Tsukuba and potentially dethrone the HKS CTR230 from the fastest lap and come closer to the outright record held by Tsuchiya in the NSX
too bad about Tarzan not being able to get a proper lap in and the other car being sent to the wrong continent... I wonder what happened to Redbrick why they were so off the pace |

No show from the Fernandez Ute. I can't seem to find any reasons why.
Shame about Redbrick, but the speed Nemo produced was just silly... |
