weather update from my window: light rain
looks like being a wet practice, which will suck if it's a dry weekend... I'm off to Albert Park now with nephew in tow, his mum gave him the day off school to go to the track |

It's been way too long since I've heard Formula 1 engines. Thrilled to have the season starting.

This Mclaren doesn't have a silly side ehxaust does it? I hear they all seem to have over-run fuel injection.
Does 107% only apply in Q1? |

How bad is the McLaren over the bumps?
This was the case last season too, before that McLarens used to glide over bumps. |

Freezing my nuts off in the pit straight stand. Just had a few cars complete about 3 laps after the chequered was given for practice 2, SC boards and yellows then went out, drivers continued at pace. Odd!

Can anyone explain why Massa still races for Ferrari? Doesn't seem he does quite well there. Maybe I could be wrong.

Macca did well. Tyres did too. Possibly just 2 or maybe 3 tyre stops at most.

Because he has done well for them (11 Grand Prix wins) and is loyal. There's no point having anyone quicker than Massa in the second Ferrari because they'd ruffle Alonso's feathers, and we can't have that!

True, But then again you would think they would want someone to help win them the constructors championship. Not just a one man show. At least when Barricello was on the team, he did something :P

Barrichello didn't nearly win the WDC.
Massa did. |
