If you look at harewood over the last year
2005 - the record dropped below 50s for the long course with 2 drivers taking the record - Groves taking the record that day... roll on one year and during practice several of the guys where getting times under 50s & Groves beating the record... next day Scott lopped 3/4 of a second off the record do at least we may well see next year with the same conditions the record possible sub49 |

And we do have a certain dress code when on duty at Shelsley. You may even catch me wearing cufflinks this coming season. Coming back to the subject, I would like to see the three decimal places idea carried through but who will pay for the new displays? The number of sector times was increased at Shelsley this year and some of you might remember me getting a little tongue tied on PA when trying to describe the additional sector which was from ess approach second speed beam to top ess exit. |

Why do I have this sneaking feeling that Rescue will be wearing cuff-links next season? And pink trousers, if the dress code is to be fully enforced.
Wandering left field of the topic, when was the last time the record was set by someone wearing cuff-links? It must have happened. |

I also found out while researching the post World War 2 racing that silk shirts were popular as they were lightweight and had some fire retardent properties. Mind you how they drove in brogues I'll never know!!! |

Tomorrow I shall be wearing my chequered flag cufflinks in the office, or perhaps the Brooklands Austin Seven ones...

I read about one driver of that era who had his batman along as the riding mechanic. Don't think the bloke had a choice either. |
