Reminds me of the Penske Indycars pre-silver anniversary.

Do you know if Penske is planning on using any dive planes on the nose? Said with tongue in cheek.
They must be trying to duplicate the downforce of the new Acura which is going to have that big honking wing on the nose. |

For those of you keeping score at the home, this is the most crowded I've ever seen Road Atlanta on a Wednesday for PLM. And there's a ferris wheel!

I'm not surprised. IMSA is doing very well right now. The Inc. interview with Scott Atherton mentioned that Daytona had a record crowd and Sebring had the highest attendance since 2006.

Outside of Le Mans, the Orecas have run those same diveplanes everywhere they've run this year in the WEC and IMSA.

Nope (just got back for the SCCA Runoffs @ Indy and that j.o.b. thing only allowed me one trip, not back-to-back ones).
But one of my orange buddies is there, he travels with his bear, you probably already met Maus in previous years, say hi to him for me! (he knows me as Arjen) Have fun guys, I'm jealous (as always)! Hope y'all keep things dry out there. |

I hope those there stay reasonably dry and have a enjoyable race!
I was doing my FRC picks, and mercy me, what a field! |

Latest forecast I've read is rain is expected for much of the race on Saturday. Probably not 2015 or 2009 rain, but rain is likely it seems now.
Of course, this would only be the third time that rain really had anything to do with the actual race for PLM, though it's rained in practice and qualifying sessions. |

The race looks very promising. We have ten cars with possibilities, that's something you can't see every day. There's a huge amount of names of weight on the grid.
The Oreca's seems fast on a single lap as always, but I don't know if this is their best track for long runs. Both Ligiers have great moments but their average lap time seems a bit high, on the right hands if they are in a good position at the end of the race, they have plenty of posibilities to win. The Nissan seems stronga again, I don't know how they will perform on the rain, but I think they could manage the boost and get a better handling of the car than the cars with Gibson engines. The Dallara are there as always with strong performance. I think this should be the best endurance race of the year. |
