M. Salmson,
How I agree with you, In France Cultural Patrimony seems to stop short of Industrial Heritage. Castles, Opera houses yes..... concrete no! When the 22nd century tooks back for monuments of the first 50 years of the 20th Century in France what will they find? Nothing if this circuit is destroyed. This was a period of terrible hardship and financial problems after the Great War. So Monthlery stands alone as a commitment to the future by the Automobile industry of France. Monthlery is not only a race track, it is the largest complete purpose built complex built to service the newly emerging 'Leisure Industry' anywhere in the world. Additionally it is built in reinforced concrete, a product developed and popularised by the French from 1990 onwards. If UTAC demolish the circuit to build new excutive houses for short term gain they will be numbered among the greatest vandals in France by future generations.
