Looks like they'll definitely be trouble in Melbourne.

its a shame that SAguri and STR are even being lumped together here.
hopefully a compromise for using last years (or even older) car is kept a separate issue from using a 07 chassis. this is 2 years now STR have obviously found ways around the rules (or spirit of the rules) first with the restricted V10 and now using the same car as their sister/brother team. im of the thought that if STR was not involved with this a compromise for SAguri would have been found by now. |

So could Super Aguri beat Honda with their own car from last season?

That would be a disaster!
RB stated the new car was faster from it hit the track so I hope thats the case. Supposedly their race pace will be decent so maybe JB will be able to take Ant. for 12th place. |

Interesting that a number of those in the paddock I have spoken to believe this season will not finish without a legal challenge to the validity of the Super Aguri and Toro Rosso - most likely when the series returns to Europe.

We've heard that one before. About a year ago in fact.

In fact I read that on Grandprix.com a couple of days ago. However this is pretty true - we have some quotes from Max Mosely - indirectly in response to a letter in the April issue, in our May issue (out in April - when it will all kick off) that suggest that last year the Aguri was definatley legal "Arrows is no longer a constructor as it no longer exists" however the Honda is a little dubious but I think they'll get away with it if they can prove ownership of the IPR. However nobody has suggested a way the RBR/STR can be legal and frankly the whole of F1 is talking about it from suppliers to rival teams.

but isn't the red bull and the torro rosso built by Red bull technologies? a seperate company? isn't that a way around the rules?

It's legally a way around the rules, but in some cases the intention can override that. I.e, they know full well thay they are going againt the spirit of the rules and this may very well come into play when the legal challenges are made. I wouldn't be at all suprised to see a STR1 on the track at some point this year.

If Toro Rosso or Super Aguri finish in the points immediately ahead of a Williams or Spyker, they will be able to prove that they have suffered a commercial loss due to the flaunting of the rules. This situation is when any legal action could begin. |

All the moaning last year was about Toro Rosso.
The only person who maoned about Aguri was Jacques Villeneuve, although he waited until previewing the 2007 season to unleash the venom! |

that would be like coming in 2nd and suing the 1st place finisher for doing better. wouldn't Williams or Spykers complaint be against the FIA then for illegally allowing the cars in question to race in the first place? we need some lawyers on retainer here at 10tenths i think |

Due to financial constraints I understand the cars are disguised Arrows A11s
