Why not enjoy both? Why pit one against the other? The USCC and the Conti Challenge are for endurance events (like the old IMSA Camel GT). The WC is for sprint events (like the old SCCA Trans-Am series). Back in the day, both the Camel GT enduros and the Trans-Am sprints had full, quality grids and we LOVED them both. Andy Flinn |

I have to say this makes a lot of sense since gt3 cars are going to be headlining. I know a lot of am drivers like to measure themselves against other am drivers, so this will likely get a lot of interest.

I really want this to be a real GT3 series. So in that case my biggest hope is that KPAX will lose the Volvo and run a GT3 in its place. I could see their paint scheme look good in a McLaren. I"m not sure about the Cadillacs though is that factory team?

The Caddy's are pretty close to FIAGT3 specs so it they wanted they could get it homologated for FIAGT3 and then also sell the Caddy worldwide.

Apparently, there will be no shared weekends with the Conti Challenge. (That would have been very odd.

Nice! That sounds exciting. Things just keep getting better and better for Pirelli WC! On a side note, I still have not heard anything new about Dragon Speed and their pair of Ferrari 458's since they initially announced their intentions. |

Well that's certainly interesting as Elton Julian, the owner of DragonSpeed, has a 2012 Audi R8 ultra which he debuted at Sears Point back in August and has said that he would run it in the series in 2014. I've never heard anything about DragonSpeed running two Ferrari F458s in 2014.

Article here mentions Elton's team will be switching from Audi to Ferrari for the 2014 season, maybe he will sell his R8 to a new team or maybe GMG (along with their 5 zillion R8's). http://www.world-challenge.com/news/...php?story=3290 |

LaSaffre sold the car a while ago. Tim Pappas stated his desire to run in the USCC next year so who knows? There was an article on SPEED that I no longer know how to access.
Here is a pic of the both of them in action at St. Pete. The Black Swan car looked stunning in person, the other not so much - bare carbon with neon green stickers. http://www.motorsport.com/scca-wc/ph...s-benz-sls-gt3 |

I quite liked both liveries on the SLS...
Black Swan had a big crash in qualifying in Toronto, and that was the end of their racing season. |

Did anyone post the 2014 schedule yet? They've created another class called TCA and they're running as a support race for Trans-Am at NJMP on the same weekend they're running as a support race for IndyCar at Detroit.
I just looked at the picture again, and on the Sonoma weekend they have something called "GT-A" but that's the only time it shows up. What is that? |
