The Alonso to Renault rumour (and it is just a silly season rumour at this stage) may have just changed into 2nd gear (it's 6 speed gearbox BTW ).
I for one would like to see it happen. Renault seems to be improving race by race. Hopefully, with Alonso onboard, they are title contenders in 2018. Would love to see FA win that elusive 3rd title, either next year, or in 2019. Would Alonso leave McLaren for Renault? |

Ghinzani at Osella? Started with Osella in 83, moved to Toleman/Benetton in 85, back at Osella in 86. Ligier and Zakspeed in 87 and 88, Osella in 89. also Mansell at Williams (85-88, 91-92, 94) But maybe there are earlier examples as well. |

Actually Ghinzani had four stints, as he briefly made his debut with Osella in 81 Fisico you can kinda include as he drove for Jordan in 97, came back 02-03 and came back one last time, albeit now as Force India |

Suspect Grosjean has rather cooked his goose with tremendous (lack of) brake sensitivity...

You just know that if Alonso leaves McLaren they will be contenders next year. Dude just has bad timing.
But if he leaves, how about to haas if grosjean is out? I don't see any reason he would be, just going with above comment about the brake issues maybe pushing him out. Get Alonso in an American team that could put him in a stock car occasionally, run the Daytona 500 and other American races? |

It would be fantastic, but I doubt it. Brabham wanted to join Le Mans or WEC - nothing happened.
Formula 1 is far too expensive. |

Could it be that it's just the rights to the name Brabham that the buyers are after? And have approached David Brabham for the use of the name? The Brabhams are not financially behind this bid to buy Force India? Because they don't have the finance to actually buy the F1 team?
Would be great to have the name back in F1 IMO. And with David Brabham's involvement with Aston Martin, and Mercedes being part owners of Aston Martin, would love to see the Mercedes engines branded as Aston Martin. The Brabham F1 Team. Powered by Aston Martin. Does sound nice doesn't it? |

I don't see any reason why not, they have every right to bring the Brabham name back into F1. Maybe they should ask Carlin for help, as they have the old Brabham factory...

Who wants to pitch in some money to help brabham this time? What could go wrong?

Someone wants to revive the Brabham name? Splendid idea!
Let's ask David Hunt's heirs, Tony Fernandes, Boris Bernes/Colin Kolles and Proton Malaysia to do something with the Lotus name too. Preferably all at once. -- Seriously, the Brabham F1 died somewhere in 1992. Let's leave it dead and buried. |

Well...who used to own the Brabham team, used to be heavily involved in F1 very recently, has plenty of money and lots of time on their hands at the moment...
Subtle clue |

Here is the best yet!
Vettel has a Mercedes pre-agreement. http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/formula-...nt_297734.html Rumour apparently originated from Leo Turini who has an inside track at Ferrari, Turini has since denied saying it. |

I would of thought this was pretty obvious move as soon as Rosberg left. I would think it was stitched up within days...
Merc up the gum tree if Bottas excels and wins the WC. Which, if this is the case, they wont let him do. |

I think they will. They have a history of being too fair. They fear any suggestion to the contrary. Maybe it'll be like Damon?
Or maybe the story is pure conjecture. There is no need for Mercedes or Vettel to have sorted that out within days. Or even by now. What's the rush? |

Maybe... the story about Vettel to Mercedes was leaked by the Vettel camp to improve Vettel's bank balance for 2018? Maybe?
