I am only going by TV footage, so it was probably worse there, so if they couldn't see out the window, then fair enough to stop, all i know is that an exciting finish was spoiled, and that means a car has won while sitting in the sandpit, crash with about 5 other cars (Bathurst 1992) and Emerson Fittipaldi won the 1975 British GP while sitting in the catch fencing, i think the rules need to be cleared up.
Does this mean that changing conditions in racing are a thing of the past, i thought it was great viewing teams deciding the right time to change onto wets then the drivers who are better in the wet trying to catch back up, great stuff. |

Likewise, I would always prefer to see the event go on, and with four laps all that was left it's plain that it must have been really bad. What can they do?
Don't need to compound the problem by having to despatch ambulances onto the circuit if the scenario turned really nasty as a result of the bad conditions. |
